“He’s stable, but I don’t know how long that will last.”
Kane and the Charge Nurse stood next to the bio bed, inside the containment field isolating the figure laying on the bed from the rest of the area. Both watched as the scans showed a climbing temperature, increased heart rate, and shallow breathing.
“Keep pushing fluids and keep on top of the fever. Do we have the blood results back?” The nurse shook her head. “Not yet. Should have been done. The lab wasnt super busy.” Kane gritted his teeth. “I’ll go check. Call me if anything changes.” and he stepped through the field.
Making his way to his office, the CMO pulled up the lab to check the status of the blood samples sent. For a moment, his eyes went wide; then he picked up the nearest object, which happened to be a small fist sized piece of concrete with bits of graffiti on it, and hurled it against the window causing a loud crash to sound out through the sickbay.
Storming out of his office with a look of rage on his face, he went directly to the turbo lift and said =/\=Bridge.=/\=
