[snip]Chris looked around the bridge at his alien crew. “Sorry you were not allowed to go down with them. I don’t like how that large camp just appeared out of no where. The Chernov should have picked it up. I mean if we can scan black holes and other stellar phenomena, then a little fog shouldn’t be a problem right?” He really didn’t ask anyone in particular.

“With all that has occurred, it may be possible that the primitive society that we see is merely a farce created by a much more advanced civilization. Or that an advanced civilization is hiding themselves among the primitives. Thus, the settlement that was not there before.”
Mwezi looked a little uncertain, but it was an idea no one had yet proposed.
Mwezi
Chris turned to face Mwezi. “Interesting. That is a possibility since we were just passing by when we picked up the signals. Run a full scan and makeup of the planet Lieutenant. I want to know more about this place and it’s inhabitants.”
Captain Chris Taggart CO
Scans of the whole planet would take a bit of time but were now underway.
Ensign Valharra, even though was not directly directed to, started a scan from his console, from more of a security standpoint, he was scanning for the types of weapons this place may contain that we might have missed in the initial scans. He watched as the console ran data across his screen, waiting for information that wasn’t in the first scans.
Ensign Valharra
SecurityAs Valharra ran his scans watching over the away team leave the shuttle the team were soon north bound on the mud laden road, they had gone barely 1/2 a mile north to the mystery camp when scans picked up movement emerging from the thick fog and rain near their location. What could only be described as three 10 ft tall wolf shaped humanoids....werewolves from fictional lore really rose from the brush and seemed to be ready to bounce upon the away team!
GM CockRoach
Chris heard a beep from the console and spit out his coffee on Valharra. “Holy S**t!” He ran to a nearby com and pressed it.
[O]Commander! If the readings are correct then there are three werewolves about 10 meters from your location at the 9 o’clock position! I’m not messing with you! They look really big! You need us to beam you back?[O]
He turned to Mwezi. “Mwezi! Lock onto to their position and be prepared to beam them up. Don’t wait for my order. If you think they need to be brought up, then do it.”
Captain Chris Taggart CO
[O]Yes sir![C] the XO responded to Chris’ hail.
-Lt Cmdr David Malkin, XO
“Now Lieutenant!”
Chris pressed the com. [O] Security! Get to the transporter room with phasers drawn asap! We might beam something up that we don’t want to.[O]
Hr looked back at Mwezi. “Mwezi. Stay here! You look too much like the beings that we might beam up. I don’t want you injured. Also send a priority message back to Starfleet stating where we are at, what we have found and the werewolves we just encountered.”
