William fought in a way completely unlike himself, as if he’d trained to use an ax and was comfortable with the tool. In reality neither the Scientist nor the Romantic were at the helm, the aptly named Mr. Bee was in charge and a fight with opponents larger and stronger than him were his favorite pastime. He laughed maniacally as the larger creature pinned the group down “Poke an eye, see if it needs to”

Urged on by William their alien allies seemed to get the point of what he was saying an attacked the eyes, the next creature in line roared in pain and then fell to the ground dead.

Mwezi fought alongside his new allies, peeling around to the side of the tusked alien and jumping onto its back, tearing into its throat with sharp claws and teeth.

The tearing and rending caused the beast to rear back on its hind legs in pain, trying to shake off the threat to its life. Thankfully it didn’t decide to roll over, instead it flopped to the ground in a spout of blood which caked over Mwezi and their alien allies nearby.

O’Dell was busy instructing the NE enlisted personnel on the away assignment to mind their duties.

Blaze shot off and arrow aiming at the eyes of the best he then called out “attack the joints That hide is too strong for what we have” he then started to Focus his shots on the joints of the beast.

At Blaze’s’ second shot the fired arrow found its mark piercing cleaning through the beast’s left eye. It groaned then flopped lifeless to the ground. His third shot on another beast when aiming for the joints weren’t quite so successful, the heavily jointed and boned areas just had the stone arrow bounce off. Seems throat and eye shots would be their best bet.

All over there were now only three of the beasts left, still giving it their all to try to kill the ‘intruders’ to their realm.

Blaze got an idea “captain I feel like I can kill the others just need a good shot”

“I don’t like the idea of having to kill these beasts when the true beasts are behind a wall looking at us. They are only causing us harm because they have no choice, just like us. Very well then Dr. Blaze. Do your best to make it as humane as possible. “

The bird like alien looked to Chris again, its mouth less face looking quizzical and clearly frustrated obviously not understanding what Chris said. Again there was the feeling of an attempt at telepathic communication but all it felt like instead was a buzzing headache that passed as quickly as it began.

“ I understand your feelings Sir I will make it painless” once again blaze pulled back on his bow took aim at the eyes and fired.

Blazes next few shots missed their mark in the melee of combat. But with his final arrow and their alien allies on the back foot with the final beast the arrow struck true this time and it too fell to the ground dead. Meanwhile the bird like alien looked almost relived in its body posture near the CO but still seemed unable to communicate.

A moment later it intoned once more =/\= Compiling complete returning test subjects to locations of origins. =/\= Then with a feeling of being transported some vast distant the crew awoke minus the two allied alien groups back on the bridge and ship of the Chernov as if they had never left. Though a check of all systems showed they had been gone three days with the entire crew having been gone. Checks though showed the ship was in fine shape though it would probably be best to return to K-7 and report in on what happened. The mystery of where they had been and who had taken them would have to be solved another day it seems, as well as what sort of results their testing revealed.
