It was a hour now later and K-7 reported that that the minor refits and resupply of the Chernov were now complete and were just awaiting the Captain of the Chernov to request debarking procedures for their mission and patrol.

Chris smiled as his ship was back to full capacity. Standing next to his XO he looked over at her. “Commander. Would you be as so kind as to take the ship out of dock and put us on course to the border?”

NE AtTheHelm waited for the order to debark from the XO

Taiya nodded as she took her seat. “Of course Captain,” she replied, a little wary of her first official order of business. =[O]= All hands, this is the Executive Officer, prepare for departure. =[O]=

She was aware that all eyes were on her at this precise moment as she turned to the NE AtTheHelm and nodded. “Helm, take her out, engage reverse thrusters, one quarter impulse, nice and steady does it,” she ordered as the ship slowly began to pull away from the dock. She said a silent prayer that she wouldn’t scratch the ship on the way out and breathed a little sigh of relief as they cleared the dock.

“Plot a course for the Klingon border…” she added as she looked across to Chris for confirmation.
