Reid was sitting alone in the lounge, playing chess against himself. At this rate he’d have himself in check in three moves. He sipped his coffee and spun the board around.

-Dr Alex Reid

When he looked up Alexander was standing there looking at the Chess board. “ check in 3 moves check mate in 5”

Dr. Alexander Blaze (Engineer)

“Well spotted. Do you play?” Reid hadn’t played chess against anyone except himself or a computer in some time.

Alexander looked at him with a smile “oh Heavens no. Not my game” he said with a smile he was dressed in blue Jeans and a black button up shirt and a white lab coat with the Star fleet com Badge on the outside pocket. “ just getting some food before I get to work and I work best like this”

“It’s not for everyone. Decided on today’s project yet?”

Blaze smiled “ I am going to run the number on the warp core and see how fast you are burning your fuel” he said as he put a pice of tost in his mouth and left.
