Adira sat in her usual spot trying not to let the hurt show. How could she have not seen the signs. She looked down at her half eaten lunch and slowly pushed the tray away. She couldn’t believe that she didn’t catch on until it was to late.

She glanced around the lounge and wondered if there was something she could have done different. After a moment she stood and took care of her tray and left the lounge. Her patrols were simple today, but she had a feeling in her gut something else was wrong.

An absentminded Science Chief was on his way to get dinner but wasn’t really paying attention to his journey, a fact reinforced when he walked straight into something that most certainly was not a wall. He didn’t realis it wasn’t a wall until looking up from the floor and seeing the Ships intelligence Officer “Lieutenant, I’m sorry” He said in a half shocked half horrified tone.
