No sooner had the words exited from the XO’s mouth then NE Commsie chirped over the ship comms =O= Captain, we just received an urgent message from Deep Space K-7 we’re to report their at best speed for resupply and a mission briefing…=O= the NE said.

Chris went to the comm on the wall and flicked the switch. [O] Understood. Set a course there at maximum warp and tell me the time to arrival when I get to the bridge. I’m on my way. [O]

”..ETA to Station K-7 at warp 8 is 1 Hour 2 minutes sir..” Commsie said.

Chris walked on the bridge and looked at Commander Grey. “Report Mr. Grey”.

William spun the Central chair around to face the Captain before standing up and straightening his shirt and stood as stiff as ever. Ever since his surprise promotion to Lieutenant Commander he’d been assigned more and more Bridge command duties than ever before. Hopefully, now that the new XO had arrived his time in the Command Chair was at an end, at least for now. “We’re on Warp 8 headed To K-7, we will arrive in approximately one hour” He informed the Captain as he took a step aside. “The message gave no indications as for what to expect but if our last few missions are used as standard I expect some form of misdirection and perhaps even a little bamboozling,” He said with his usual dry Scottish wit.

Keali took a deep breath as she stepped out onto the bridge for the first time and had a quick look around. Although she had studied the specs for the Chernov, there was no substitute for the real thing. Her emotions were a mix of excitement and nervousness, she figured that most of the crew had not served with a Betazoid before, maybe not even met one as there were very few in the fleet and she wasn’t sure how they would take her. As the bridge officers studied her, she sensed their curiosity but she put it to one side and closed her mind off for the time being. She confidently strode further onto the bridge towards her new seat and stood at the Captain’s side.
