: : : : : : : “I may hold you to that offer,” the crimson-scaled female spoke with a slight smirk, glancing back at the Vulcan. A strange creature, to be sure. She continued at a relaxed pace down the corridor, turning into a room that seemed like a conference room. A table was set up on the side with some sort of confections. “Food that is edible by humanoids has been prepared, if any of you would like a meal,” Miv spoke, then stepped to the side to speak with Udi.
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : The two touched the tips of their fingers together, and there was an obvious look of affection in Miv’s eyes as she looked at the male.

: : : : : :
: : : : Chris looked on at them and thought it was strange but to him he guessed. Too them it might be normal.
: : : :
: : : : : : Emily followed after everyone, and was intrigued by the strange food that was laid out for them. She grabbed what looked like a slice of melon and bit into it, melting at the sweet juicy flavor.

: : : : : : Emily Harper
: : : : :
: : : : : bump for XO and CO, although feel free to take as much time as you need :D
: : : :
: : : : Chris got next to Harper. “How are the eats Miss Harper? They taste as good as they look and smell?”

: : : Pasting in the Captain’s response
: : :
: : : It was not the required time for sustenance but Stovik was well aware of diplomatic duty so choose some light fruit that would not upset his diet regime too much.

: : : : Captain Stovik

: : Near the table stood what might be, for the crew, an even more surprising sight than the ‘lizard folk’. Standing at only two and a half feet tall, there was a small alien that resembled a house cat. They were somewhat plump, but looked very agile, with dark red fur and a long tail. They wore a robe, much like the Hatriku officers were, but they were also adorned in several pieces of shiny jewelry. Earrings on their ears, bracelets and anklets, and even a rather intricate necklace. The small alien noticed Stovik and stepped over to him, bowing their small head in greeting. “May your hearts beat strongly, and your love grow wide,” the feline spoke with a smile. The voice was deep, and sounded male. “I am Controller Zish. Your timing in your visit is rather fortuitous to be here at a time when two of the twelve happen to be at SkyBase!” he chuckled.

: Stovik studied the new being curiously and nodded in greeting as he approached. “May you live long and prosper.”He said in response to the greeting before asking,”Two of the twelve? Do you mean Controllers?”
:
: Captain Stovik

Zish nodded. “Yes, indeed. How much do you know of our culture, Captain Stovik?” the alien, known as a Raka, inquired. He began to walk, gesturing to the Vulcan to follow. He stopped when they reached what looked like a small pillar with its top reaching about to Stovik’s waist. Zish easily leapt to the top and sat on it, their faces now at approximately equal heights. “I presume it is likely very little, given how few of our kind are in your Starfleet. Well, a small lesson I suppose. Galdor is ruled by the controllers. Each controller is in charge of a twelfth of the planet. The current organization is three Hatriku, three Laleri, three Arwan, and three of my kind - the Raka. The names we bear are not our birth names, but old Arwan words for… well, numbers. I am Zish, nine. Miv is Eight. There are also ten others,” he said with a smile. He would list them, but the words would be meaningless to the Vulcan.

“Fascinating and very equitable. Your different races are equally represented.”Stovik said as he mentally filed the information away before sipping from a glass which seemed to hold a fruit type juice. “How has your planet’s interactions with the other inhabitants of this region been?” He asked curiously not knowing the planet’s history of the region. It would seem that they had found an equitable balance for their planet and citizens.

Captain Stovik

“There aren’t a particularly high number of inhabited planets within a reasonable distance at low warp,” Zish spoke. “But for those that are, well… we get along rather well with them, actually. With such diversity on our own sphere, finding common ground with alien species has been surprisingly easy. Even your Federation, we met on rather good terms. Galdor’s own starships have actually had some rather positive interactions with a group called the Klingon Empire as well, which I have heard is on rather unfortunately negative terms with the Federation,” Zish reflected.

Stovik raised an eyebrow at the description of the Klingons.”Indeed, the Klingons are usually very imperial and more interested in conquering and acquiring new territory. I would advise care and wariness in your interactions with them.”

Captain Stovik

“The Hatriku get along with them rather well. They are not totally focused on conquering as you seem to assume. Their culture is based upon honour, and honour in battle is their primary source,” he explained with a small smile. “In pursuit of that honour, there exists quite a lot of conquering. But having proven our culture contains warriors with just as much mettle in battle as their own warriors, they are rather content with not invading us,” he chuckled.

Chris was amazed at the array of different species presented and how well they got along. On Earth, back in the day, people would be racist with one another and treat each other in a disrespectful way. But here, they are in harmony, at lady the leaders are or putting on a good show. He wondered how the average citizen gets along with each other.

Commander Chris Taggart XO

A Laleri female in officer’s dress approached Taggart, reaching her hand out. She seemed somewhat eager as she stared at him. “You are a Huu-man, are you not? I have read so much about your culture, and it is so exciting to finally meet one of your kind!” she spoke. She was shorter than Mwezi by a noticeable amount, and her features were softer, along with a lighter voice.

  • Mwezi

Chris looked up from his plate of food which was delicious and saw her. She was far shorter and prettier than Mwezi. Chris bowed slightly and rose putting his hand into her paw and shook it.

“Why yes I am. My name is Chris. Chris Taggart” he frowned a bit on the inside for not being able to use his Bond, James Bond reference but he knew she would not get it and didn’t want to confuse her more.
“How are you doing this fine day?” Chris said smiling at her.

OOC: I hope I get to have a Captain Kirk moment! Lol!
Commander Chris Taggart XO

“It is very nice to meet you, mister Chris Chris Taggart, my name is Kula,” the alien said with a smile, her tail wagging. The lupine alien female withdrew her hand after a vigorous shake. “It is a day,” she said, tilting her head, “for you, but for me it is very late evening. We keep non-synchronous schedules on SkyBase, to keep ourselves in sync with the various regions of the planet. Not everything happens at once down there, you see,” she said.

“You are an officer of the earth ship. I am a scientist. I study the effect of microgravity on plant life in the non-grav portions of SkyBase,” she added. “I’m sure you will be shown that portion in your tour, if it is provided!” she said with a smile.

OOC: with a wolf?
