This… This was the part he knew he wouldn’t enjoy. Men in his family weren’t generally particularly forthcoming when it came to deep psychoanalysis… Even casual psychoanalysis come to think of it… He couldn’t quite keep the frown from his face and wondered at the ridiculous notion of a boarding psychological evaluation. An officer had already passed multiple examinations prior to, and during their time at the Academy and yet still were subject to boarding evaluations and regular ‘interrogation’ at the whim of these tinpot medical dictators. At least in his last posting, he hadn’t had to put up with this silliness.

Bracing himself, he tapped the door announcer.
