Chris was in the lounge putting up signs that congratulated Mwezi in his promotion and DH spot. He was already drinking

A Vulcan at a party was like a clown in the battle of Somme, but stereotypes had never stopped T’Aria before. Arriving a short while later, she surveyed the lounge, two oblong boxes partially hidden by the dark sleeve of her robes (despite all formalities, T’Aria did not feel inclined to change back into her uniform). Without sign of Mwezi, Taggart’s figure catching her eye, she chose to approach him. “Hello, Captain.” She greeted. It had never quite dawned on her the many names she had addressed Chris by since her arrival; Chief, Doctor, Commander.. and now Captain–at least it never got old.

OOC: Lol! That means you’ve been on the ship awhile as well!

Unveiling the boxes, T’Aria slid Mwezi’s into one of her many deep pockets. The second, she held between her fingertips. Gift giving was not common among her people, but T’Aria had lived long enough with humans that their traditions slowly began to grow on her. “I believe a ‘congratulations’ is in order for your promotion.”

Chris stopped hanging the sign and got down off the ladder and wringed his hands like they were dirty. He smiled at T’Aria. “Hello doctor! Nice robe. ” He almost didn’t know she was talking to him since he was still not used to be addressed as captain yet. He looked at her hand with the box and looked back into her eyes with surprise. “Is that for me?” He was almost speechless that she got him something.
