John woke up and put on his new uniform the rank of the tenant junior grade was on it. He then went to the mess hall to get some food as he got his bacon scramble eggs and sausage he even got himself a mug of hot coffee. He saw a group of his team and took a set with them. They where happy that John was now there boss officially he had been leading them for abit now and keeping them fit.

After taking a sip he cleared his throat and said to his team “ok after we are done here I want Samuel, Barnes, and Jackson to man the armory for their shift. Make sure all phasers are cleaned, prepped and ready to go just in case. Lewis, I want you on the bridge if anything happens contact me. Monroe and Beckett you have Gama rotation. Me and Ellis will handle Alpha”

with that the officers broke off into there groups and headed to the armory to retrieve their duty phasers.

LT.(JG) John Forster (CWO)

There was a visitor at the Armoury – the first officer wanted to speak to Forster.

“Mr Forster, may I speak with you in private?” Kastarak said. “Now that you are promoted, I must give you a report on a confidential matter.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

John took the First officer back to his office and said “what can I help you with” he asked as he took a set at his desk.

Lt. John Forster (CWO)

After the team had dispersed to follow out thier newly given orders, Lt. Valharra and Ens George was still standing there. Lt. Valharra took a sip of coffee, and watched as the new CWO got distracted by the XO and went into what was once, his own office. He walked up to the Ensign. “He didn’t give you orders either?” Lt. Valharra asked jokingly, as he knew the answer. “No, sir.” The Ensign. Responded. “Alright then, follow me, let’s create some trouble.” Lt Valharra stated laughing as he drank more coffee. “I don’t think that’s wise sir.” The Ensign nervously replied. Noticing his nervousness, Valharra reassured him. “We aren’t doing anything crazy, but as a former CWO for this ship, I know how to keep the security team on thier toes and have some fun at the same time. It’s all just for training to expect the unexpected.” Lt. Valharra said then motioned for the Ensign to follow him.
Lt., j.g. Valharra, Security Officer

Before he entered the door to Forster’s office, Kastarak noticed the interaction with Valharra. Indeed, he thought, Valharra might join. He asked out loud,

“Lt Valharra, do you have the time to join Mr Forster and me for a highly confidential conversation.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

At this time one of the officers assigned to the armory today walked over to the young ensign “hey did you check your messages your going to be my shadow to let’s go” he said as he waited for the ensign to follow him.

Security Officer-B

“Yes, sir. I am free.” He stated seeing the ensign he was about to patrol with going with the other security officer. He followed Lt. Cmdr. Kastarak into the office.
Lt. Valharra, Security Officer

Kastarak nodded, “very good,” he said, and indicated Valharra and Forster to join him in Forster’s office.

While in the office, Kastarak raised the topic.

“We must discuss the situation of Mr Dawson’s disappearance. And if Mr Valharra assents, also Mr Valharra’s top-secret backstory. It may be necessary for Mr Forster to have that information.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

“That is fine with me, Commander. Starfleet restricted the access of that information, if you think it’s important for the mission, I would be willing to disclose that information.” Lt. Valharra answered the Commander as he walked into the office.

John looked at both of them “so what is so cloak and dagger?” He said with a small smile

Lt. John Forster (CWO)

Kastarak availed himself of the liberty of taking a seat. He was the senior officer after all.

“There are two items of the agenda that I wish to discuss with you both. The first one revolves the earlier disappearance of Mr Dawson and the second one the top-secret peculiars of Mr Valharra’s presence.

Kastarak turned to Valharra.

“I suggest we begin with the latter. Mr Valharra – please continue.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

Lt. Valharra took a seat and a deep breath. “It all started when I was going to vacation. I was supposed to meet my family at the destination. This ship that had the shape of an octopus, made what could best be described as a worm hole very close to my ship, so my ship was pulled into the worm hole along with the octopus ship that made the wormhole. I was found by a starfleet ship, taken to starfleet command, and eventually trained to be a security officer.” He told his story, reflecting on everything that had happened.

Lt. Valharra, Security Officer

Has John listened to this Officer talk about a wormhole and a octopus ship he thought out loud “ lightning storm in space right” he then turned his laptop screen towards him he input a few commands, and on the screen was to ship the destroyed planet Vulcan “ is this your octopus ship this is a rubber ship that is known as the marauder supposedly this ship is from a now, parallel, future world. Supposedly the ship created a wormhole from a device that uses red matter to implode onto itself, creating the said wormhole. It was also the red matter that destroyed planet Vulcan, making it implode onto itself, but after the enterprise under the command of Captain James T Kirk finally stopped the marauder and destroyed it”

Lt. John Forster (CWO)

At this point, Kastarak interjected.

“Indeed, Mr Forster. Mr Valharra is, for lack of better words, from the future in an alternate timeline where planet Vulcan still exists. He was born in the year 2356. In the year 2387, he was sucked in to this timeline, arriving in 2233 when the USS Kelvin was destroyed by the Narada. Now, forty-one years later he remains with us, stuck in this timeline, an alternate one where our homeplanet, Vulcan, no longer exists. For him, he is also stuck in an alternate past. You see, Mr Forster, the delicate matter of this information.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

(OOC: I didn’t know we could use the names of the ships and all that from the movie. I was told that reaches into copyright territory…)

We can reference them, but not play them. So you can’t play Spock, for example, or say that you’re part of his family. Using names in this instance is fine as it’s just referencing canon

IC:
“Yes, sir. That is the exact scenario and exact ship that brought me here.” Lt. Valharra stated to both Lt. Cmdr. Kastarak and Lt. Forster.
Lt. Valharra, Security Officer

Lt. Foster leaned back in his chair “ yes I do agree. It’s quite a pickle but thank you for sharing this information with me. Does the temporal Authority know of his presence here or are we keeping it under wraps” He asked “ because the last thing we need is the grandfather paradox to become true” he said looking straight at the two.

Lt. John Forster (CWO)

OCC: sorry about that. I wrote that when I was half asleep let me fix it up a little bit.

Kastarak inclined his head in a measured way.

“The appropriate authorities are aware of Lieutenant Valharra’s origin. It has been concluded that the historical divergence resulting from the Narada’s incursion, and the destruction of Vulcan in this universe, has rendered classical causality loops, including so-called ‘grandfather paradoxes’ inapplicable.”

He folded his hands, index fingers lightly steepled.

“In essence, we are no longer aligned with the prime temporal axis. This is, to Lieutenant Valharra’s origin, an alternate quantum reality. Actions taken here do not propagate backward across timelines. They cannot undo a past that never existed here.”

He paused, his mind suddenly drifting, his eyes zoning out.

Somewhere, Vulcan still stood. The temples had not crumbled, the lava flows are were beneath the city-lights of Shi’Kahr. His parents could yet walk those paths, unaware of loss, untouched by extinction. Perhaps another version of him walked beside them, undivided by grief, not stuck on a human-infested spaceship with trauma and terror in his mind.

There would be no way for him to reach that world. He could not even grieve the existence of that reality properly. It was not his. But it existed. There were theories of the multiverse… but so far, in as much as Kastarak knew, there was this universe, there was Valharra’s, and there was the mirror one – where Vulcans were slaves to humans.

Kastarak’s mind shifted again, back to the stoic logic on Valharra’s Vulcan, where logic was still taught by living elders and not remembered through archival echoes.

He looked at Valharra’s very Vulcan face, but, in Kastarak’s mind, not-so- Vulcan demeanour. He, too, had been changed by his trauma. Knowing that his planet exists, his family, his friends… and being unable to go there. Could that pain be even worse than Kastarak’s own?

Kastarak decided to shift the focus quickly. He purged the emotions and moved on to the second point of the agenda.

“Our second dilemma refers to Mr Dawson’s so-far unexplainable disappearance and similarly so-far unexplainable sudden re-appearance without any memories of the time that had passed. What assessments have you made of the situation, gentlemen?”

He looked at both men, as a quiet invitation for them both to speak about the thorny issue.

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

John thought about the fact of prime timeline and thought to himself. What if there was a quantum reality where his mother was not missing but was able to come home. The feeling of family and what if his father was not a horrible man and what if he didn’t hurt his mother. What he push that thought aside

“ Yes the arrival of the marauder and the destruction of the Kelvin have already removed us from the prime timeline and anything that happened after that was a cause-and-effect, therefore separating us from the prime timeline. Especially because of spock also returning to the past in this alternate timeline. But are you afraid of a paradox that could happen that might even prevent you from being born in this reality or if you were born as a female in this reality” he asked

Lt. John Forster (CWO)

Kastarak thought he had already answered Forster’s question, but then, Forster might have not been so acquainted with these matters, nor had he had the time to get familiar with them as Kastarak had been forced to, after finding out the truth.

“No,” Kastarak said softly, “I am not afraid, nor should we be. The timelines have diverged too much that they are separate realities now. What happens here cannot affect teh other, nor can events past or future in one of our realities affect the other. For all intents and purposes, Mr Valharra is stuck here. The paradox would appear should he try to return to the other timeline. That is, unfortunately, something we can neither encourage nor allow.”

Kastarak, Lt Cdr
First Officer and Navigations Officer

“I’ve never even thought about having a counterpart in this universe, or even thought about attempting to find them. I don’t see a logical reason in it, as their family would still not be my own, we would share certain features, I assume, but overall, would still be two different people.” Lt. Valharra stated plainly. He paused in thought. “As far as Mr. Dawson, he was the CWO on our last away mission, everything seemed fine, I didn’t go with the away team, he kept me as the tactical officer for the bridge, so, I never saw him after he came back aboard. We went to the Starbase, and debriefed and he came back on the ship, as he is now, in communications.” He stated his observations.
