After the talk that the lieutenant had with the captain and Commander she had thought that it would be best to take some R&R back on earth. However, she knows it’ll be about another 3 to 5 months till her crew gets done with the current mission which she is fine. She needs the time on earth for some R&R anyways. She had then taken a couple of small bags with her from her quarters and then went to the transporter room.

An engineering crewman stood in the transporter room. His name was Robin Drecker, a young human engineer of 24 years. Blond and blue-eyed with a baby face, he stood at attention when his colleague Lovejoy arrived. He had been briefed that she was to be transferred to the Constitution on a leave of absence, and that the Constitution would take her to Starfleet Medical for evaluations.

For all what it was worth, he would miss her, and he earnestly hoped she’d come back after the Chernov had returned from its mission in Klingon space.
