Today was the day that Kastarak would have his first one-to-one meetings with the department heads. He would do them in order of seniority. The morning would start with a meeting with the Second Officer, Mr Grey, who, somewhat ironically and dynamically for their relationship and hierarchy, outranked Kastarak, yet would answer to Kastarak. The conversation would hopefully be enlightening and respectful.

As Kastarak waited for Mr Grey to enter, he realised it would be the first time that Mr Grey and he would be alone in a room. How fascinating....

The chime to Kastaraks office chimed exactly at 0900 hours, William always prided himself on being punctual but serving on the Chernov had changed that into a necessity. Although he didn’t have experience on other Starfleet Vessels he knew that the Chernov was more militaristic compared to something like a Science cruiser or Diplomatic ship, the Chernov being a battlecruiser. The militaristic nature meant that Military traditions were key and there being on time was late and early was on time so He’d arrived ten minutes before time to stand and go through his PaDD after finishing breakfast.

William entered the room after being let in and took a brief moment to look around “Good morning, sir” He didn’t say the first officers’ rank as a gesture of respect to his station then stood next to the chair hands behind back.
