As Lt. Lovejoy went to the mess hall, she was wanting to see pawl and talk to him about something. But she is thinking to herself Should I really tell Pawl how I feel? Not knowing how he might feel makes her feel like she doesn’t want to tell him.

She decided to sit down after getting her food. Started to read a book that she had packed in her stuff and was able to sit down and read it while eating food.

Lt. Lovejoy

Umbri just so happened to walk into the mess hall and saw Lt. Lovejoy. She looked like she was deep in thought while she was reading. Umbri got their food and walked over to the table. “Mind if I join you, Lieutenant?” they asked.

She looked up and saw him and points her hand to the chair across of her. “Granted. Oh hello. I’m Lt. Lovejoy. Or Sara Lovejoy.” She said as she introduced herself to the lieutenant.

Umbri nodded as they sat down. “Lt. Hawkins, or Umbri Hawkins. They/them pronouns. I couldn’t help but notice that you seem to be deep in thought about something. You wanna talk about it?” they asked.

“Heh yeah sure. I’ve just been really thinking about who I want to date but then again it’s not really right. I mean I’m only a junior officer not a department head anymore. But at the same time, I want my old position back in Engineering. But I’m in a conflict if I do, he might not be happy with me if I did.” She said.
