It was a quiet afternoon in Sickbay. Kastarak saw Symar sitting in his office. Kastarak headed there, hoping to get some time to speak with him.

“Sir?” Kastarak inquired. “May I have a few minutes of your time? May I come in?”

Symar looked up from his desk, keenly aware that some of the nurses who did not yet know his true halfbreed identity could be listening in from around Chernov’s Sickbay; to that end, he arched an eyebrow but kept his face deadpan, “What can I do for you Doctor Kastarak?”
