Adira exited her quarter, and made her way towards the transporter room. She carried a small pouch with her something she learnt a long time ago to not leave home without.

She entered the transporter room with a few seconds to spare. She turned to the transporter chief as she waited for the others to join her.

“After the diversion is created by the bridge you’ll need to move quickly to get us over there.”

The chief nods and begins preparations to move then out when the signal is given.

T’Aria soon came to join her, a medical kit hanging beside her hip, but no expression to match the vitality of the supplies resting within them. Silently, she moved to stand with the chiefs offering a quiet nod to her.

Dr. T’Aria

The second security officer assigned to the away mission stepped onto the transporter pad next to his crewmates, quietly standing. He had a phase rifle slung over his shoulder, a small phaser on his belt, and what looked like some kind of sword as well - just in case, he had explained. Close quarters fighting against several enemies was easier with a sharp and pointy object.

Mwezi

[O]Bridge to Transporter room. Put them in as out of the way place that you can find. I believe, it would be detrimental to place them on the bridge. [O] Came the Captain’s voice on the bridge.[O]We are activating decoy now and will signal when it is time.[C]

Captain Stovik

Stovik nodded before toggling comms again,[O]Transporter room, energize.[C]

Captain Stovik

The energy beams surrounded the group before dissipating again. The scene before them was that of a bare room with a few instruments that looked as if they had been used recently. A Cardassian male leaned over a table facing away from them, focused on the project upon the table. Once the beams cleared completely the sight of a human body laid out upon the table would be made worse by the point of it being a living crew member with his chest spread open while he was conscious and screaming. Tools slick with blood lay discarded next to him as the screaming became silent as the Cardassian removed the heart from the man’s chest.

As the team materialized adira’s breath caught in her throat. There was no mistaking Alexander’s screams. It had been only day before the start of this mission that he had came to her want hand to hand training. For a moment she was back in a place she wanted to forget.

T’Aria watched with a blank expression as to what the Cardassian was doing to the poor human. Removing the heart from a vessel where it belonged was never safe nor ethical, but she dare not make that comment without understanding the reasoning behind the Cardassian’s choice to disembowel the man..

Although, it brought an odd emotion to her, to see this. She couldn’t not describe it– it was as if her skin were crawling, yet nothing was there. Disgust, she wondered if it were.. Perhaps even anger for his actions. No, that was impossible. Holding her tongue, for the respect of the command of this mission, she watched, taking every ounce of her logic not to make a sound. Yet, oddly enough, the faint glimmer of an emotion could be seen behind eyes so stoic, a rock expressed more inflection than they.

Yet, his screams, in spite of fading and dimming to none, remained within her head. To any doctor, even one so expressionless as a Vulcan, the pain of a patient was not to go unnoticed. Albeit, despite all will to make a move, she awaited orders. Patiently. Considerately. Coldly.

Dr. T’Aria

Instinct took over as soon as he saw the horrid, torturous scene, Mwezi’s phaser pistol was pointed at the Cardassian and before he even consciously realized what he had done, the security officer had shot. It was on stun settings by default, but by Va’al did he wish it wasn’t. He saw red, seeing the poor unnamed human officer being murdered in such a cold and heartless way, he wasn’t interested in waiting for orders.

Mwezi did not have the capability to sit back so coldly as the doctor, as he was neither a doctor nor a vulcan. He was a Laleri, and Laleri thrived on emotion. Although, right now his emotional state was one of horror and sorrow.

Mwezi
Security

The Cardassian man tensed before falling to the floor.
bump

“Careful,” T’Aria spoke nearly inaudibly to Mwezi. It was intended only for him to hear, but she doubted her words carried enough to the tension of the room. She wished to do something, to find a way to force the man from that patient. This was unethical, torturous, even. Yet, still, she had no say. They had no idea what that man was carrying with him, whether he was armed or had people around the corner, waiting on his beck and call. T’Aria did jot see the logic in risking that. Even if she found herself agreeing with Mwezi’s actions..

Narrowing her gaze, in what she would determine to be the prospect of better sight, she studied the Cardassian man before them, waiting for the say-so to do something, anything. Someone had to be in charge of the away mission, and it certainly didn’t seem to be her nor Mwezi. Yet, in these tantilizing moments, she found it to be almost pleasurable to think that it would have been nice, for it to be. At least then, they would have a current sense of direction of what needed to done. While T’Aria did not believe in violence, she couldn’t deny something had to be done.

CMO

Adira’s heart skipped a beat as the security officer fired. This was often why she preferred to work alone, but then it could have been her laying on that table.

She took a step closer to the cardassian listening carefully for foot steps of someone nearing the chamber. She turned to the doctor and Mwezi. She addressed the security officer first. She talked quickly and quietly “under the rader. I know they have hurt our people, but if don’t do this quietly we could very easily end up just like them, and then who will rescue us?”

She let that question hang in the air for just a moment as she turned to the doctor “can you give him a sensitive? Something to keep him out for a couple of hours? The last thing we need is him waking up and alerting his friends that we are here.”

Lt.(J.g.) Adira Givens security/intelligence

“I have a sedative on hand that should do just that, Lieutenant.” T’Aria gave a simple nod of her head, speaking lowly. Hardly wasting a beat, she searched through the kit, leisurely as not to make much sound, for the sedative.

A comm call aired in the room, “Doctor, we registered a weapons discharge in the dissection room. Is everything alright down there? You know if you use the laser scalpel on it’s highest settings it sets off the sensors.”

Adira froze and looked to each of her team and called for silence. She looked down at T’Aria to see how close she was to administering the sedative, and waited till she was finished.

She turned to Mwezi and mouthed “as soon as the comm closes cover us we need to move quickly.”

She held her breath as she waited for the channel to close.
