: : : : Ha’ge set aside the communication device a moment before considering his next action. logically, the man would have many things besides Chi to worry about. Looking over to Chi’s mentally silent and prone form helped Ha’ge solidify his decision. Taking up the communication device once more, Ha’ge sought Officer Bronson’s hail and began to write a memo to the officer as Ha’ge thought it best not to clog the verbal lines with chatter.
: : : : :
: : : : //Officer Bronson, apologies for communicating about non work issues at this dire time. Chi is gravely injured. As you and she seemed close, I thought it prudent for you to be informed.//
: : : : :
: : : : Further explaining that Chi required a full cycle of donated blood and the complications, Ha’ge finished his memo solemnly.

: : : : //I would ask that if it were in your power to do so, or that if you know a means of donor, that you save my ko-kai. Please save my sister.//

: : : OOC: Your posts are phenomenal guys but I do have to comment that you need to let other departments play their parts instead of playing for them. You have played the Medical NE’s here and not allowed the CMO to play with you guys. It is important for us all to remember even in the excitement of the moment to allow our fellow crew to play with us so no one is left out. It is more fun for everyone then.

: A flicker at the comm system indicated a reply message for Bronson. Sister? Well that’s news! The ship is in trouble, it’s in a bad way. I am on my way to Engineering and will come to medical if I get the chance, though I do not know how I could help. Keep her alive Ha’ge. I’m sorry she’s been hurt. I’ll do my best.

: : The area for Sickambay seemed to feel like the occupants haf been breathing helium. Slowly, the gravity in the area quit working and instruments starting moving from their normal locations. The occupants all now floating in the now weighless enbironment as a klaxon alerted them to what they already knew.

OOC: Sorry about delayed posting! This seems like an interesting sim. :)

IC: “What is going on, Doctor?” T’Aria noticed the sudden disperse of gravity, as the systems were either deactivated or malfunctioning. She glanced at the alarm, well aware as to what they were intending to convey, but it was only obvious information to her. The Doctor surveyed the room, before making her way to the nearest comm system, it was not an easy task, but it was necessary. =^=T’Aria to Lieutenant Scott, what is going on with the gravitational systems? I cannot have my patients nor my staff aimlessly floating about, while attempting to heal.=*= If She were human, she might have been heavily annoyed. However, she was not, so it remained only the inflectionless concern.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

=^= Understood Doctor. I have my crew repairing the Grav plating.=^=
Scott, CE

=^=Understood. Do you have an ETA on the repairs?=^= She has fragile viles.. and people, who couldn’t be aimlessly floating about, only to have gravity suddenly come back to life and cause more damage than was previously done.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

Th’elin Zarath gagged, coughed, then groaned. Then he swore. He’d come awake floating, everything adrift and spinning lazily. He felt ill from the falling sensation, but had nothing in his stomach to be thrown up. This tugging in his stomach was only the first of many pains which now began returning pell-mell, in a mixture of confusing stimuli. It was the wracking pain in his chest that brought the vivid memory of the accident flashing back into his mind. Part of his exoskeleton was broken. It was this, in turn, that cause him to curse. The others hadn’t had such physiology… They… Hadn’t made it out. As full consciousness began to take hold, Th’elin realized his was in Sickbay. Gravity was out… There had to be casualties worse than he was. Fighting to retain his consciousness, he executed a zero grav maneuver that allowed him to reorient and change direction, intending to float toward the nearest conduit panel. He still held a spanner in one blue skinned hand. It only shook a little.

-Ensign Zarath, Engineering

OOC: Not sure if I read this correctly, but is he isn’t in Sickbay, just tell me and I’ll redo this, haha!

IC:
“Ensign,” The Doctor caught sight of the blue skinned creature, an eyebrow quirking high upon her forehead. “Please refrain from movement, it will only worsen your state. Especially, to do with your structural injuries.” She made her way to him, as quickly as was possible. For a creature whose bone structure was incredibly dense, she was used to sustaining herself on gravity far greater than that of Earth, or most planets, really. It took over a minute for her to get from one place to the next, specifically because of her disorientation. Noticing the state of the Andorian Officer, she shook her head, “Stop,” She placed her hand upon his shoulder, well aware of the fact that his continuous attempts to work would do more harm than good. “Straining your mind will only cause you to lose consciousness in a quicker manner, for the strain will act as a degenerative force, draining your energy. Conserve it, to stay awake and allow the remainder of the Engineering Department to handle to gravitational issues.” T’Aria was not the type of doctor to give random orders, she preferred to explain her thought process. For, in her time as a medical officer, she found that the explanation generally resulted in quicker agreement, generally.. “Rest, Ensign. This issue can be solved by other officers, which will be beneficial to your physiological and psychological state.”

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

A short thrum began as the only warning when the gravity returned. Most of the officers not expecting it, cried out as they fell to the floor causing further injuries. One NE screamed as his elbow shattered when he fell onto the countertop.

-GM

“Garcia, Juliip!” T’Aria called to the two, who were just younger crewman who happened to be in the nursing field. She motioned for the officers to head towards a few of the patients, prior to assessing the remainder of the situation. Facing some of the other doctors, she directed each of them to one of the injured, hoping they had enough officers on shift, to assist them all. Redirecting her attention to the Engineer, she furrowed her eyebrows, “Does anything hurt worse than it did prior?” She asked, to make certain of his current situation.

=/\= Kane to CMO. I’m on the bridge and have the injured here take care of. Heads up the CO is on the way to you, probable rib fractures. I am showing gravity restored in Sickbay. Do you want me to head back or keep up here to lend a hand… They could use it, Doc. We got hammered. =/\=

Kane, Tac / Med

The Doctor headed back to the comm, to respond.

=^=Understood, doctor. I will assess and assist the Captain. It would be preferable for you to come back to the Sickbay. Unless you are of utmost need by the people on the bridge, your assistance would be better utilized, here. After the gravity was reactivated, several officers experienced further injuries. We need all hands on deck.=^=

Dr. T’Aria

[o] Copy that, Doc. On my way. [c]

The doors of the Med Bay whooshed open and the Captain entered. He did look a bit of the worse for wear as his uniform tunic was torn during his tumble but you would not know it by looking at his face. His dark gaze swept the Med Bay as he looked at all the injured crew. Inwardly, his anger at Loring and the Admiral for his injured ship and crew was burning and hot though he kept it to a portioned part of his brain, not allowing it to affect his actions. He accessed the various injuries that he could note and knowing the effected areas estimated roughly the number of probably injured or lost crew.
“Doctor, report.”He demanded as he stopped, waiting for Dr. T’Aria to have a free moment to respond to him.

Captain Stovik

Several seconds dragged by before the said Doctor had been given the chance to respond. Making her way over, she motioned for the fellow Vulcan to take a seat on one of the only free biobeds. While she worked to assess the extent of his injuries, via running a quick scan, she responded to his question. “Severe injuries have been sustained by the recent and abrupt return of the gravitational systems of the ship. Several officers have experienced shattered kneecaps, fractured bones or heavy bruising to the body, including the bone. Currently, my officers are working to assess and correct injury, as quickly as possible.” She reported, her voice far dryer than it normally was.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

The doors slid open and Kane stepped through. He looked around the Sickbay for a few moments, and then threw his medical bag against one wall out of the way. He grabbed a passing nurse by the arm, halting him in mid stride “Where’s the triage list?” he asked abruptly. NE Klind looked at him and said “I.. I mean… we are just got gravity back and-” Kane cut him off with a glare. “Worthless.” he said and physically spun the poor Ensign around to face the room and grabbed him by the shoulders from behind. “There, there, and there. Unconscious, open head wounds, or not breathing first priority. ABC’s man. Airway Breathing Circulation. Get on it.” and he shoved the man into the maelstrom of injured. He looked across the room at the CMO. “Doc!” he yelled over the din. “I’ll start triage. How many surgical suites are open?”

Kane, Tac/Med

“One!” T’Aria called over the chaos that had assumed the Sickbay. There were only two surgical-based positions in the surgical room, one of which was apparently occupied by one of the older doctors and the patient he was currently assisting. “Most of the injuries should be curable with our technology, but some will require surgical procedure to assist in the healing of their wounds, specifically severe puncture and osteogenic issues. So, three stages of severity should be enough to classify the injuries.” She motioned towards the surgical room, as she stood within the main reception, where several of the biobeds, she could only assume, were taken to see to the injuries. “Take three other medical officials to assist you, Doctor!” She added, having to raise her generally soft voice, again, to make certain he wasn’t doing the triage on his own.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

“I’m a PA, but thanks for the raise!” he yelled back and ran to the open surgical suite. “You you and you get in here!” he yelled at three Ensigns who were looked to be in a state of shock. “Listen up. This is a conveyor belt. You.” and pointed at one Deltan nurse. “You are triage. Get all the ones who need surgical attention tagged and ready to go. Once I yell clear, you have thirty seconds to get the next patient in. Got it?” and he began the decontamination protocols on the surgical suite. “You.” and he slapped a Vulcan on the shoulder. “You are prep. Once they are in, you prep them for surgery and tell me everything we are dealing with according to the latest scans.” As the decontamination protocols finished, Kane put on clean gloves and a gown. “You are surgical assistant.” he said to the remaining human Ensign. “I say it, you hand it. Simple, right?” The Ensign began gowning up as the first patient came in.

Kane, Tac/Med

OOC: Just so you know, Bajorans didn’t join the Federation until 2369. ;)

IC:

“PA or not, you are still a doctor!” T’Aria have only that as a response, before shifting her attention back to the Captain. After all, he was her prime focus and the triage could be manned by any officer with a sense of the difference between a broken bone and a torn ligament.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

OOC: Edited. Sorry about that.
