Pawl never knew a covert assignment would be like this. As he slowed and made his way around engineering to get more familiar with the new engineering section and the neighboring section when he had more time he would self-tour the rest of the ship later. He did a lot of thinking in his mind. As he moved about. making notes mentally of the mapping of the area. to get what he needed sooner along with dealing with tool lockers and armories nearby. Since he felt he was by himself. He kept an eye on the power relays they were known to run a bit hotter than normal. He thought of adding a cooling system to the units to be more effective and have less chance of burnout when they are over-taxed. It took him about an hour to get around the engineering deck and being fairly confident of everything and where it was in the area he started to deal with neighboring conduits and bulkheads. “An engineer’s work is never done.” He said softly to himself. As he took a seat at a terminal to relax a moment before finishing off what he had to do. Now other than just doing some babysitting in the engineering area there was no actual work to do at the moment. Which he was grateful for.

Blaze looked at the engine system “this isn’t your standard warp drive this is something called a singularity drive. It useing black holes”

“Of course Sir!” Tinker said with a straight face not trying to show emotion. It was fairly obvious as tinker thought to himself in his mind. “Anything else sir?” Feeling inadequate for the job Now.

Blaze looked at the engine “well they skimmed the manual. So let’s get to work” as he went to the main engineering computer and started a system diagnostic and power up sequence.

Tinker was confused by the actions of the officer but kept quiet. All the start-ups and diagnostics were done before the man’s arrival. The bridge already knows everything was green. All it seems to him is that his work is being checked and rechecked. “I believe all was set, sir?” Tinker sighed hard. “Excuse me, sir? I need to go to medical?” Tinker said flatly. “I need something for a headache.” Tinker said and fell quiet awaiting approval to leave. As he stood there at his station waiting.

“I know you already did a diagnostic but as I said before we know very little about this engine it’s better to be safe than sorry” as he worked as fast as he can with the system. “ do you really have a headache or do you? Do you just wanna get away from me?” he asked then he stopped “go then” he said.
