-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

“Mmm…” hummed Kastarak, “It is understandable.” Kastarak knew of Symar’s trauma and illogic. He sensed empathy for Symar within himself, but did not act upon it other than replying this simply. Symar’s “but…” seemed sincere and honest, and there was no reason to doubt Symar at this point. He was an able officer, and while he was one-without-logic, Symar was not alone in that. Most of the crew was like that, and they were perfectly able officers too.

– “Rateg” (Dr/Ens Kastarak)

“Your reservations are heard,” T’Aria muttered, her coastal accent tethering words as if with a damp reed, “and reciprocated. I am less concerned with our adversaries, both Romulan and Klingon, than the apparent lack of cohesion in our effort to infiltrate them. We are dealing with chance, not defintive action.”

It must have been the first time he had teard T’Aria’s actual, native accent. So she was from Raal, like Kastarak. It provided a sense of comfort in this strange situation and mission of theirs – illogically so because what use was sharing Vulcan dialects and native regions in freeing some nameless admiral’s nameless daughter (of unknown species and unknown planet of origin) from the claws of some Klingon entity, authority or person? Most likely none. Even though comfort was a comforting (!) emotion, it was highly illogical and needed purging immediately.

And so it was.

‘Have a little faith…’ she recalled Chris urging not moments before. He seemed confident in his ability to ‘MacGyver’ the situation, and she saw no reason to doubt him. He had the codes – the access – and familiarity with the ship. Still, she wondered whether that would be enough. Had the Risian’s heightened their security measures? Were the codes the same as he recalled? T’Aria reminded herself that Chris was an intelligence agent and, therefore, capable of more than she knew. Whatever his plan was and whenever he chose to share it, she assumed it would have some merit… and risk.

“I trust he will apprise us of the plan soon,” T’Aria commented, “but I suspect your services may be required.”

T’Aria didn’t sound too convinced, especially with the “but” clause. Kastarak did not know how to reply, and instead he simply nodded.

Fortunately, they were now interrupted by Symar, which led Kastarak not having to say anything else:

“Come on,” Symar said quickly, “We better fall back in step before people notice we’re lagging behind.”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

T’Aria nodded and made a swift gesture to merge with the rest of their group.

“Quite,” said Kastarak, assenting, leaving the Vulcan group.

William eyed the three Vulcan officers having a discussion in private, if it had been a discussion between the Ensign and the Chief Doctor he might have involved himself but seeing as T’aria was the one being conversed with he saw no point in butting in as his other half would put it “We should prepare the main course of action now..” He hesitated at not referring to the Captain by his rank, he did however not use the nicknames the other officers had decided upon, there was a limit to how much silliness he would tolerate “I’m assuming that you have a plan for once we’re inside the secure area” There was no question in his mind there was, it would undoubtedly be foolhardy and ridiculous but somehow work, Taggarts plans usually had those elements and still worked.

William Grey

“Quite right Grey. Give me a moment please.” He turned back around and continued walking.

— T’Aria

Tinker looked around casually as they walked along the area. Keeping quiet feeling a bit nervous but tried not to show it. noting some shows he wanted to see if they came back this way or maybe some other day. As he tried not to get into anyone way as the area seemed more congested.

Tinker

Having left T’Aria and Symar, Kastarak moved forward up the train, where he saw “Tinker”. He noticed some nervousness in him, and, unusally so (thought Kastarak), there seemed to be a desire of communicating something, perhaps not only the feeling of unease.

“Tinker,” said Kastarak, addressing his colleague with his chosen monicker. “Are you all right?” “Rateg” asked this, pronouncing “all” and “right” with a slight paused, and enunciating each consonant, as was common to Kastarak’s prosody.

– “Rateg” (Ens Dr Kastarak)

Chris waited until he got to the corner then stopped and turned around. No passer-bys around then he spoke once everyone got near and in a volume they could hear but no one else.
“Alright. I know to those that have been with me for a long time knows that my plans are somewhat… how to say it....concocted on the spot and I fly by the seat of my pants. I won’t deny it. But this time I do have a plan…” He looked over at Grey and T’Aria....”A real plan.”

Pointing with his hand. “Just around that bend is the access building to the ship.” Chris’s voice and tone were serious. “We will not have to pose as anything but who we are already. We are the crew that will take the ship back to Starfleet. The only things that you all have to do is just be yourselves and not be nervous or draw any attention towards any of us. The other thing is to have your new name, which are on your new badges that I will pass out now, memorized by the time we get to the ship. I’ll be doing most of the talking and you all just follow my lead.”

“Department heads, you all will be going to your assigned stations in the ship just like you do on the Chernov. This is just another day at the office. Once you’re there the tech that has been there fixing your area will give you a briefing on how to use certain items. Just pay attention and let them do their thing. Then once they think you’ve learned it all, they will depart the ship and we will take it out and head for Starfleet. Once we are out of their sensor range we will make a wide circle to go back the way we came to go to Klingon. It really is that simple. Once we are finally enroute to Klingon, I will tell you the rest of the plan. Savvy?”
Chris began to pass out the new ID’s to the crew that had their pictures on it while he listened to any questions.

OOC: I’ll give this a few days and then move the SIM to the ship.

Chris

Here goes nothing Symar thought to himself.

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

Kastarak looked at the badge that he had received. It said “Lt Solvik” on it, but with his own picture. The hair was consistent with his current hairstyle – the not-so-Vulcan “hip” (as one colleague called it) style he got last week on this very same Risian planet. Where had the captain managed to get that picture? Kastarak couldn’t remember posing for any picture. Perhaps it was created by the AI, using information from surveillance and so on… Kastarak stopped thinking of it – it wasn’t so important. Instead, he thought himself with a higher rank. His fictional alter ego had gone further in his career than he had himself, being a lieutenant than an ensign. How different trajectories of different people go. Could he “cosplay” a Vulcan of higher rank? It would be odd, but the circumstances compelled him. Logic so dictated.

The captain’s briefing appeared logical. It alleviated most of Kastarak’s concerns, and he was – not happy (he’s Vulcan after all) – content to move on with the general gist of it. He wasn’t sure what to expect.

– “Lt Solvik”/”Rateg” (Ens Dr Kastarak)

Tinker took his badge from Chris. “thanks.” he said in a whisper. as he moved out of the way and kept quiet unless spoken to. As he took in the scene before getting ready to board the ship.

Tinker - Engineer

Blaze had his nose in his lab top he was check his program to check if everything was ready. The only thing he needed to do is to upload the program and have it run.

Lt. Alexander Blaze (Wise Man)

OOC: Feel free to still post here. I’m starting another Main SIM where we will be at the entrance checking in.
