Chris wanted to meet and greet the JO’s of his ship and decided on having a big dinner provided by the Quartermaster/Mess crew. The meal will be homemade with favorite dishes from the not only the crews countries, states and worlds, but from their particular regions as well. That feat was easily accomplished by looking at their records.

Chris sent out emails to the crew via their PaDD’s and sent another one out to their Department Heads telling them to give them that night off. The message reads:

To: Junior Officer [Insert Rank and Name here]

As president of the Wardroom I do hearby cordially invite you to attend dinner with me and the Captain in the East Wardroom. Normally you would wear your Dress Whites but on the occasion I am allowing you all to come in casual clothing that is clean and in good taste.

When you enter you will ask permission from the president of the room, which is myself, even if the Captain is there. Once done I will grant you permission and you will enter and take a seat of your choice. Once everyone has arrived and is seated, then the fun begins.

There are a few rules to being there:
1. There is no rank there and you are free to.
speak your minds.
2. There will be no talk about politics, sex and.
religion. Those talks don’t mix well with.
having a good time.
3. There will be alcohol there and some from.
your local regions. A nice taste of home. You.
can consume as much as you want but be.
warned. If you get too drunk or belligerent,
you will be asked to leave or be removed by.

4. You can talk about your profession and even.
tell me about new ideas and the like. This is.
sometimes frowned upon in the Wardroom.
but I am allowing it. I want to stress this as.
much as I can. WHAT IS SAID IN HERE, STAYS.
IN HERE! Except ideas that you ask me about.
I will ask that you bring up ideas that you.
have already talked about with your DH’s. I
do not like behind peoples backs.

So please come and if you don’t then there is no hard feelings. I have instructed your Department Heads to give you the night off and the next morning as well. I hope to see you all tomorrow night.

It wad the next night and Chris was wearing his IU sweater and designer jeans waiting at the table for the the people to arrive. He was already drinking rum and coke.

Kane arrived and was standing in the door when they slid open. He was wearing faded blue jeans and a dark gray hoodie that said said “NDFD” across the chest. The hoodie was discolored in spots and had a few small holes in it. His hair, as usual, was all over the place. Looking in he saw the XO and said “This where we are supposed to be?”
