Lt. Valharra sat on his bed, in his quarters, and reflected. He had made a difficult decision. He was still shook by the man he considered his mentor on the ship not surviving the mission on his home world. He tried to suppress his emotions, the way he was taught as a Vulcan to do… But this isn’t even his home. He misses his family, he misses his version of Vulcan. Why did his spacecraft have to get sucked into the black hole? He felt like in stepping down, he let the captain down, but he knew he couldn’t handle if his emotions got out of control like he feels they will, and it hurt someone or takes thier life…
He got up and headed to his appointment with the counselor. He arrived at the door and it chimed to let the counselor know he was there.
Lt Valharra, security

“Come in!” Came a different voice then what Valharra would be expecting.

Once inside Valharra would see the Captain sitting in a chair with tea, coffee, liquor and snacks on a table nearby and an empty seat across from him.

Chris got up from the chair and came to Valharra and spoke in a low, calm and reassuring manner. “I understand that this is a little unorthodox Lieutenant. But we seem to be without Counselor right now and I’ve been having troubles dealing with the loss of my friends and comrades. I was thinking that we can talk freely in here without rank or reprisal. To talk about our feelings and troubles. We can do this as many times as needed. I believe we both need this. What do you say?” As he motioned his hand towards the table and chairs.

“That is logical, Captain.” Lt. Valharra stated as he headed toward a chair and sat down. “This ship in the last couple missions have had a lot of ups and downs, gains and losses.” He continued. “I am still processing the loss of my family from coming through the black hole and nobody knowing how to get me back to my ‘real’ home, so I can understand the loss of personnel from a captain’s view, especially you, you really treat us like we are members of your family.” He stated.
