As the lt went to engineering from her quarters, she then decided to go and figures things out with the computers. It’s important that she does some work around engineering and starts cleaning it out a bit. As she noticed that one of her officers that’s under her, she notices that something was going wrong with one of her systems. She then asked one of her people “Ensign could you look into something for me?” She asked.

Lt. Lovejoy CE

Ensign Lisa was on her counsel she looked confused. On her screen was an error code S-179037-DKL. She then called out “ chief I seem to be having problems here“ she said.

Ensign Lisa

“What is it ensign?” She asked as she turned around to the ensign to see what was going. She then asked “What’s this?” She asked.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

Lisa looked at the error code “my screen is locked I can get around this” she said With a confused tone. (Looks like a job for the IT team)

Ensign Lisa

“How’d it get locked Ensign. We can’t be having this on board. This must be reported to the captain immediately. To be honest, I feel like that this is best for the captain to know. If it can’t be notified then that’s an issue.” She said. Trying to crack out of it and still fighting.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

The Captain was doing rounds and stumbled upon the conversation. “Tell me what Lieutenant Lovejoy? I was doing my rounds not eavesdropping.”

Lisa was scared as if she did something wrong “ I was just doing a warp status reading then the screen went black then blue and this error code”

Ensign Lisa

Chris heard the ensign speak and nodded. “Young lady I am sorry that I do not know much about the Warp core besides the basics. I was a surgeon. That is my specialty. I’m still a medical doctor though. So my analogy is this. Although I can perform surgery, I can’t preform brain surgery or heart surgery. You’ll need a specialist for that. So what I’m saying is that you may be an Engineer.....” He then looks at Lovejoy.....”and you maybe the Chief Engineer and you are more than capable of doing a lot of things. However, you have many departments at your disposal that specialize in certain systems. No one person or Being on this ship can know and do everything. It takes a team effort to keep this ship moving and its crew happy. Do you both understand what I’m saying?”

“Yes captain. Very much so sir. I’ll have my teams on it immediately. And I promise that the fact that it’ll get done. It was just a surprise that something like this popped up and all. But I’ll get my teams on it sir. Ensign. Uh Lt. Blaze let’s get on this. Let’s also get a few others to help out.” She said. [O] Attention all engineers report to the engine room we have an issue and I need all available engineers to help out on this issue. I repeat all available engineers please report to the engine room immediately. [O] she announced.

OCC: Um Blaze is not there.

Lisa went to the com to contact Lt. Blaze. Lisa was out of the room an other console had an error code S-179037-DKL.

Ensign lisa

“That’s great to hear and see Lieutenant Lovejoy. If you don’t mind I’d like to stay and see you on action as it were? I rarely get the opportunity.” Chris thought in his head that this is overkill as they say? Assembling all available Engineers to handle one monitor that is not working right. Well it’s her department and he’ll let her handle business. The main thing is to get the ship running smoothly.

Soon Lt. Blaze entered the engineering deck “so what seems to be the problem here” he asked then he saw the captain “oh well top of the morning to you captain” he said then he saw the error code on the console “well that’s not good” he turn to look at the CE “ if it’s all right with you I can fix that” he said

Lt. Alexander Blaze (Programmer)

“Of course Lt. it’s all yours.” As she went ahead and started to work on it with him and everything and started to get things done around there. “Captain. Mind if I talk to you about something? I know it’s a little unusual and what not but I’m wondering if anything.” She said.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

“Sure thing Chief. I’m always happy to hear from you. We could do it right now if you’d like and go to your office or mine?”

Blaze plugged his lab top into the Consol that had an error code and run a program diagnostic. The he went under the side and removed the access panel and started to work inside. The main thing he saw was an T16 processor node. It looked like half of it was popping out. The lab top beeped out loud the program diagnostic was completed. It showed that the system had build up of junk data that was slowing the system down a lot. And the error code match the node that was popped. “CE I need an extraction tool and can you replicate me a T20 power node 9 X 19” he asked “ and remind the engineering team when they’re done running a program to close the program cuz there is over 45 diagnostic windows open that is half the problem”

“Of course Lieutenant.” She went and did that. “And Lieutenant, I’m actually gonna go and talk to the captain. But I’ll let the ensign know to do so before leaving. Ensign Lisa. Make sure to close things down after you’re done.” She said.

OOC: Of course my friend.

Ensign lisa looked at the CE with a angry look “with all due respect sir I have not been here long enough to open windows like that. So I would appreciate it if you didn’t use me as a scapegoat” she said with a fire in her Voice.

The stopped and raised and eyebrow like Vulcan then held up his hand and spoke in a stern yet professional manner. His tone indicating that this was serious. “NE Ensign Lisa. All the Chief asked you to do was to make sure to close the monitor down properly when you are finished. She did not imply that it was your fault at all. Lieutenant Blaze here said as much to that fact. In fact all she did was relay the message to you or any engineer for that matter, to just shut down the systems properly. You are not a scapegoat and furthermore, that is not what a scapegoat is. Find a better term for what you think you are. In fact once you’re done here and The Chief and I are done talking, then I want you, Lieutenant Junior Grade Blaze and the Chief to all meet me in my office. The Executive Officer will be there as well. I hope I made myself clear and I do apologize for being this abrupt with you all. And I also hope you all understand that this is one of those one sided conversations. Till we meet up soon. Good day.” He nodded and then followed the Chief Engineer again to her office.
