As the ensign went to the mess hall, he was wondering what was going on with his life. He then realized that he was doing the right thing. Serving starfleet and the Federation. He knew that it was a good thing for him. He realized that it was something that was nessarry for him to do.

Ensign Applegate.

Sega’a lounged at a table beside the window, a cup of Janaran tea warming his hands. He hadn’t intended to move from his perch for a very long time. But, when a new face meandered into the mess hall, Sega’a couldn’t help but give in to the curiosity. He set his cup aside, rose and tugged his uniform taut, and wandered over to Applegate’s table.

“Hey there,” he greeted with a broad smile, “I couldn’t help but notice you’re sitting alone. Care for some company?”

“Oh please. By all means. I’m Applegate. Todd Applegate or Shocker if you want to call me but that is what you can call me. Up too you.” As he allowed Sega’a to sit down. He smiled as he invited him to sit.

Ensign Applegate.

“Sega’a…” he plopped down and extended a large, calloused hand across the table. “I cannot say that I’ve seen you around—not near the galley, anyway. Where do you work?”
