Chris read through the reports Blaze got from the Romulans and smiled and sent them up the chain of command and included Blaze’s name to give him credit. Chris also sent a request in and the answer came back with a resounding yes. He smiled and then pressed the comm from his chair. [Ensign Blaze. Report to the Bridge immediately. [O] He said in an urgent voice.

Blaze just got to his office as the com sounded. He went to his Com on the wall and answered [O] on my way sir [O] he bolted down the hall and took a turbo lift to the bridge. As the doors opened he stepped out and saw the bridge he noticed he has never been to the bridge before. He saw the captain in his chair. He walked to the side of and and said “you called sir”

Ensign Alexander Blaze (Programmer)

Without looking at Blaze. “Yes. I did.” He clapped his hands and got up from his chair and looked at him. “I can’t believe you showed up like that.” Turning around and talking loudly to address the whole Bridge. “Does anyone see what Blaze has done wrong?”

Blaze looked at himself his uniform was on correctly his face was clean and shaved. He started to think you himself ‘what am I missing here’

look of panic spread through his body and showed on his face. He gleped and said “I am sorry sir did I do something wrong” he asked

Ensign Alexander Blaze (Programmer)

“Yes. Yes you did. You’re out of uniform.....Lieutenant.” And with a sly smile he reached over to his Captain’s chair and pulled out a shirt with Lieutenant Junior Grade on the sleeves. “You’ve more than earned this and more Blaze. I’m proud of you.” He then held the shirt out for him to take and his other hand for him to shake.

Blaze was confused “ Uniform,Lieutenant, me” he managed to say with a big surprise on his face

“Yes. Like I said. You’ve earned it and more. Congratulations.”

Finally a collect in his mind that he was promoted. He took the new shirt in one hand and the captains hand in the other “thank you sir I will not let you down” he said alittle Shaky.

Lt. Alexander Blaze (Programmer)

“I know. You never have.” He said smiling. “Now go program my VCR in my quarters. It’s off again.” Grinning that time.
