USS Chernov
A Madman's Tea Party
William opened his eyes and looked around, despite the fact that nothing in here ever looked the same it always felt similar, he looked down and was pleased to see that he was in his duty uniform. This time he sat on a small chair outside what looked like a small Mediterranean cafe, the chair was facing the ocean on a small wooden platform, the sandy beach was empty, the ocean lazily moved in and out. There was no one else there, which William found extremely annoying. Suddenly there was a slight shift, by rote he blinked once and in front of him, a small table was suddenly there, a teapot and two cups placed at the ready. William tsked at this but immediately began pouring the tea into cups. After he finished pouring he felt another shift coming, this time like a wave of the ocean. He sighed and closed his eyes letting the shift happen, being the first was always such a bother. He opened his eyes and looked around and finally saw the new arrival, himself.
Will was already lounging in his chair, feet crossed leg over knee, he was wearing jeans and a work shirt he had favoured back during their farm days. He quickly grabbed the teacup and took a small sip, sighing with pleasure and smiling at himself “Y’know Liam, it’s been too long” His slightly Texan drawl more faded than on the outside. William rolled his eyes and took a sip of the tea, it was one of the few foodstuffs they could agree on, it was father’s favourite “It puts a considerable strain on our mind for both of us to be completely aware like this, I’d much rather avoid having a nervous breakdown in the middle of the night” His calm and slow Inverness accent a contrast to Will’s faster cheerful southern drawl “Bill” He added derisively much to Will’s amusement. “He requested this meeting and we both agreed to it” Will said, a more serious cast to his eyes. As soon as He was mentioned William and Will felt a shift coming, it was not the soft tapping of tea, the gentle wave of either of them produced on arrival, this was the biting antarctic frost they both dreaded. Both men closed their eyes and in a moment the chill was gone as if it had never been.
They opened their eyes and turned their eyes east towards a now setting sun, standing on the beach, feet in the ocean, arms extended stood the third man. He turned around and smiled, both men flinched at that. He was not like the others, he was taller, broader of the shoulder, his hair was longer and had a slightly red shade to it. His canines were slightly longer and his limbs seemed too long. He walked slowly towards them, the same predatory smile on his face “Hello… me” His voice was deeper and spoke in an RP English accent. He was wearing white trousers rolled up to his knees and a white shirt. “Miss me?” He asked.
