Loring eye’d the Captain. “Once your officer releases my hands I will go put the code in myself. Otherwise I can remain her until our new friends show up and we find out if they are truely friendly.”-GM
Mwezi still wasn’t about to let go of the man. “You will not be allowed free reign of anything,” he said in a low voice. No one had the right to risk others of their own species, even in the pursuit of science or technology. Especially when the majority of those getting their lives risked didn’t even know the risks.
Will looked over at the man. A dark shadow formed in the back of his mind, ideas of violence where creeping up. He looked away quickly and stared at the console. Now was not the time to lose control.
CSO
“Lt. Givens, you and Ensign Harper will accompany our guest to Engineering to allow him to assist the CE in repairs. Keep a close eye on him.” Stovik ordered. “Commander, your status?” He asked as he turned to look at Taggert.
Captain Stovik
“If Givens and Harper are to accompany the… ‘prisoner’ to engineering, what am I expected to do?” Mwezi asked, his vice-like grip still not letting go of the man. He was not a guest in any shape or form. He was a stowaway.
Loring shot the Lupine fellow a murderous look. “I beleive they expect you to follow orders like a good little officer. Now release my hands so I can try to save this bucket of bolts before you engineers cause something else to explode because they dont understand the technology.”
Chris cracked his neck back and forth and paused a moment before answering. Making sure he could see well and that his dizziness was gone. “I’m a bit sore like everyone else Captain, but I’m good to go.” He was about to say something else but an idea popped into his head. Turning towards the CSO. “Mr. Grey. Does our deflector still work? If so, we may be able to use it to our advantage. Also. Have some of your team run scans of the nearby asteroids, comets and planets for materials that we can mine to aid in our repairs.”
Turning towards the CoS. “Lieutenant Stone. How hard would it be to put guns on the shuttles? Because if we can’t get that working, then we might have to have shuttle door gunners in space suits.”
Turning back towards the Captain. “Captain. I think it would be great to send out some long range probes to gather information, but with that ship coming up, I think that we should wait until it passes or hopefully not hostile, so we don’t provoke them. Oohh! Are they close enough to hail?” His adrenalin was running high. Might be from the his he took and he was now realizing this and he calmly took a couple deep breaths and let them out slowly.
“Sorry about that. I’m ok now. But we should send out a hail on all frequencies declaring that we are just visiting and mean no harm....or something like that.”
OOC: Realized after reading this post again that I hit the submit button to soon and left some of the post out.
Lt Commander Chris Taggart XO
“See to it, Commander. If you do not require medical assistance and can man the bridge, I am going to head to medbay to have my ribs seen too.” Stovik said as he turned back toward Givens, Loring and Harper off to Engineering before making his way to the medbay.
Captain Stovik
“I am fine now captain.” He said in a calm voice. “I’ll man the bridge. You get yourself taken care of. I have a good feeling that this roller coaster is not finished.”
Once the captain was gone Chris looked around the bridge. “Con. Find a working station and send this message in all languages including binary and all frequencies: Incoming ship. This is the USS Chernov of the Federation of Planets. We come in peace and mean you no harm. We are just passing through. We are open for talks if you so wish. We wish you safe and good journeys.” “I hope that works.” He then took a seat in the center chair and waited.
Commander Chris Taggart XO
Kane looked at the XO and said “Until gravity is back in Sickbay, you want me to see what I can do with Tactical?”
Kane, Tac / Med
“Yes. That would be wonderful. I forgot you did that as well Mr. Kane. Please work your voodoo.”
Commander Chris Taggart XO
Kane nodded and moved to the tactical control interface and began to assess the damage to the system as a whole.

Sec.The hail went unanswered, however the unknown vessel did speed up towards their location. New ETA drawn out about 2 and a half hours.
The damage readoits at Kane’s station reading out multiple decks with either no power, no gravity, fused EPS conduits and a part of the nacelle explosion had caused a piece of debris to pierce the hull near the rear of the ship. All atmosphere had vented too fast and there were no responses to comms or life signs in the area.
Outside the main Viewscreen, the spin of the ship brought the debris of the nacelle into view in stark contrast to the sunlight beside it. The bodies of the people in the affected sections from the explosion seen drifting among the debris. Loring looked on at the scene and a single tear rolled down his cheek.
-GM
Kane watched the bodies float past, and his grip on the console turned his knuckles white under the tattoos. “Commander, we have a large hull breach in the aft section. No life signs…” and he turned his head and looked at Loring. He very slowly raised his hand and pointed at the view screen. “Hope your confidential experiment was worth it, you piece of…” and the last word was lost in the grinding of his teeth as he turned back to the tactical console. He began compiling the incoming damage reports and trying to relay power to critical systems and the emergency hull breach fields.
Kane, Tac / Med
Chris rose slowly from the center chair and his face was pale seeing what was on the screen in front of him. He tried to speak but his mouth became instantly dry. “Understood. Mr. Kane. Please continue to do what you can and have any available engineers to seal off those sections and we will compile a list of missing and dead crew members after we first save what’s left of us and this ship.” He said solemnly.
Looking at Mwezi and Loring. “Ensign Mwezi. Please relinquish control of Loring to Lt. Givens. Mrs Givens I want you to be there to safeguard the engineering crew and also to not allow them to harm him. He needs to and will pay for his misgivings. Mwezi. Stop by security and have the nearest security officer start handing out weapons. Even to personnel that Don’t normally have them. With our loss in numbers and an impending threat…we will need all the help that we can get.”
Looking back at the comm officer. “If we can go to red alert then do it, lights only. Also since the ship is getting closer and faster, resend the hail saying: Incoming vessel. This is the USS Chernov of the Federation. We come in peace and mean you no harm. We require medical and engineering assistance.....” “End hail. We cannot bluff our way out of this after seeing the destruction. They, if they are hostile, will have us by the balls.”
Sitting back down he toggled the main comm for a shipwide announcement.
[O] To all available crew this is the bridge. We have sustained massive damage and engineering is heading out to secure the areas. If you are a survivor then by any means possible, let us know that your in there and we will do everything in our power to reach you. To all other personnel able to walk, head down to the armory to get a weapon. We have an approaching ship, possible hostile heading our way in about two hours. We are dead in the water so protect yourselves. Bridge out. [O]Commander Chris Taggart XO
Kane saw an indicator from sickbay and tapped the comms. [O] Kane to CMO. I’m on the bridge and have the injured here take care of. Heads up the CO is on the way to you, probable rib fractures. I am showing gravity restored in Sickbay. Do you want me to head back or keep up here to lend a hand… They could use it, Doc. We got hammered. [O]
=^=Understood, doctor. I will assess and assist the Captain. It would be preferable for you to come back to the Sickbay. Unless you are of utmost need by the people on the bridge, your assistance would be better utilized, here. After the gravity was reactivated, several officers experienced further injuries. We need all hands on deck.=^= She understood if he would be needed there, as she would make it work, if he needed to remain.
Mwezi took the orders as he was given them and headed immediately for the security office, planning to not let go of Loring’s wrists until they were safely tied by handcuffs. He didn’t trust this “piece of …” as Kane had so tactfully put it.

Sec.Dr. T’Aria
William was slightly mesmerized by the floating bodies, he’d never seen anyone die. He was woken up by a notification from his console “Commander I … I’ve” He shook his head “The uh, Alien ship just increased speed to our location, E.T.A one hundred and fifty minutes” He had done the rough calculation in his head “I reccomend sending a general distress call. f the Ship is friendly and hasn’t answered it might simply not be receiving our hails. If it’s not as friendly there is a possibility of others being in the area, seeing as the first ship was already nearby” He looked over to the comms officer, his hair was out of place and his uniform dirty. Things were bad. “If we are unable to send a signal I should be able to modify any probe we have left to send one.”
CSO
Chris turned around in the chair and looked at the CSO, wincing a bit from the pain. “Mr. Grey. I just told comms the new hail message for distress. With these bodies and a quarter of our ship floating around us, There will be no bluffing. You might not have heard me since you were busy with your tasks. That’s alright. But no to the probe. Firing one out to them might provoke them. They might think we were firing on them. No. Mr. Grey. They have us by the balls on this one. We can only hope they are friendly. Nothing else we can do. I have ordered the arming of every available person. That might help in case of boarding. What other ways can you manipulate a probe? Turn one into a bomb to destroy this ship or theirs?”
