They headed to the turbolift and once both were inside Chris said: “Bridge.” Then looked at Ricky. “Might as well get this part over with before we’re both too drunk.” He smiled.

Ricky followed Chris into the turbolift. “It’s probably a good thing that I don’t start my first shift till tomorrow afternoon.”

Lt - Ricky English - Comms

Chris smiled at that and stepped onto the bridge when the doors opened. Gesturing with his arms. “Over there is where you’ll be sitting. Of course that’s where the captain sits. I sit behind and to the left. My office is trough those doors and I share it with the CSO. Kane sits over there when he is here and that big hairy guy right there is Mwezi. I’ll let you walk around a bit and mingle and answer questions.”

Ricky did just that, walk around the entire bridge taking it all in. It wasn’t the first time that he was on a bridge it, was though his first time as the main Comms officer. He sat down at what would be his station and logged him self into the computer. Everything he needed would be right there at his finger tips. The translation matrix to the internal communications. Ricky put the communication probe into his ear to see what he could hear right now. What he could hear was the chatter between the starbase and the repair teams working on the ship. The ship had been through a really rough bout the past few weeks. And the ship had to crawl back to the star base.

Ricky got up and put the comm probe back on it’s stand. He then made his way to Mwezi. “Mwezi, I’m Ricky English the new Comms officer. Pleasure to meet you.” He held out his hand for a hand shake.
