Gathering a medpack and hoisting it over his shoulder, Lieutenant Symar doubled checked with NE Winters that she was happy to stand in as the on duty nurse in Sickbay while working in the Shuttlebay and clicked all of the hyposprays to his belt before tapping the com panel on the wall nearest his desk, “=^= Symar to all medical staff, please prepare your trauma kits and meet me in Shuttlebay One, we have injured incoming. =^=” Symar gave a quick nod of thanks to Winters and strode out of the Sickbay and towards the turbolift.

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

The Captain was waiting in the Shuttlebay. “Doctor. Thank you for going down to the surface with your team to assist. We will be leaving you there while we do other parts of the mission. You will have a security escort and the Chief doctor down there is Amanda Green. Take whatever you need and please be careful. And not that it matters at this time, but the medical shuttle has been temporarily renamed ‘The Kane.’ Do you have anything for me before I go to security?”

“Please be aware Captain,” Symar began, lowering his voice slightly, “That Ensign Karstak, one of my nurses, is currently going through the Pon Farr. It has not yet impeded his ability to work, but he may need to undergo meditation upon our return.”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

Chris blinked his one eye fast a couple of times then stared at Symar before responding. “Then confine him to his quarters. Once you leave on the shuttle, we are heading to the next location. So he wouldn’t be able to just come back to the Chernov. That or get him a prostitute while you’re on the ground. But you’re a smart being Lieutenant Symar and you’re Vulcan. So figure it out. Anything else?”

“I understand Captain,” Symar replied, before moving to a desk to check he had everything he needed for the mission.

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Science Officer-

“Great! You need anything, just call. Good luck down there Lieutenant.” With that Chris turned and left.

Symar watched the Captain leave with a small hint of trepidation that he quickly pushed down to the recesses of his mind and waited for the rest of his medical team to arrive.

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

Chris came back in. “I’m sorry Lieutenant Symar. I meant to say that once you get down on the planet surface, you need to make contact with Doctor Irving Lance. You will be working with him. Also Commander Grey will be down there as the overall Officer in Charge. Thank you again Lieutenant and please be safe.”

‘Understood Captain,’ Symar replied, as he noted three of his interns, Ensigns Winters, Lea, and Asanto crossing the threshold into the Shuttlebay. The three young people stood fixed in place as the Captain crossed the room and then slightly relaxed the moment he left. Symar handed them their own packs of medical equipment and headed for the nearest available shuttle.

OOC: I’ll use NEs until my guys reappear, is that ok?

OOC: Yes that’s ok good sir!

As the bright blue/yellow shimmer of the transporter beam engulfed the medics, Symar felt a brief surge of anticipation cross his mind, he tried to push it down; really having to concentrate momentarily to balance himself. When the beam faded, he told the team to hold back for a minute or two to assess the situation.
