Lieutenant Symar straigtened his uniform shirt as the turbolift to the Bridge came to a stop and the two doors slid aside with a hiss. The Bridge was not as busy as Symar had been expecting, with all the news of what had happened to the USS Kelvin in the past few months, Symar had been expecting the human contigent of crew members needed time to adjust to what had happened. Symar expected that he would have to perform a lot of physicals over the coming weeks, so wanted to get into his Sickbay as quickly as possible.

Crossing the bridge and coming face-to-face with the officer currently occupying the centre chair, Symar raised his hands in the traditional Vulcan greeting and said, “Peace and long life, I am Symar of Vulcan, the Chernov’s new Chief Medical Officer.

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

Chris looked up. “Peace be with you as well.
Welcome aboard Lieutenant Symar. I’m Captain Chris Taggart, the commanding officer of this fine vessel. I started out on this ship as the Chief Medical Officer. What areas of medicine do you study?”

“I am a capable neurologist Captain,” Symar began, showing no indication of wanting to show off, “However, I can, where needed, expand my knowledge to whatever my patients may need at any given time.”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

“Excellent! We need a capable Neurologist since we seem to get a lot of head injuries and trauma do to the nature of this ships mission. How well are you at being a General Doctor and an Emergency Doctor? We are a Battlecruiser after all and we need someone who is capable of fixing a torn ligament from a gym injury to fixing an electrical conduit burn to multiple battlefield injuries in a blink of an eye. So what I’m saying is that we need someone that is more than capable Doctor. I’m not saying we need a miracle worker but someone who can handle business.”

Symar gave a look that, if he weren’t a Vulcan, could be mistaken for annoyance, “As Vulcans do not believe in the concept of miracles Captain, I assure you I will do all I can to ensure that the crew are ready for whatever occurences may take place.”
