As Sara gets to the bridge she then noticed that the helmsman seat is still open. She then went over to the captain and said “Lt. Sara Lovejoy reporting for duty.” She then said and is now waiting for a response from the captain. After the fact that she got to the bridge on time she still awaits orders from the captain.

It happened to me that the First Officer was on duty and was sitting on the Captain’s Chair; it was still 0630 in the morning and the Captain was on there yet. “Take your station came to the reply and confirm that we are on course.”

Lt. Commander Michael Sideman, XO

“Yes sir. Sir. We are still on present course.”

Lt. Sara Lovejoy

Chris finally made it to the bridge with a big mug of coffee that was a very light color because he accidentally put too much cream in it and a cup of hot tea. Approaching the XO he handed him the tea. “Sorry I’m late Commander. I brought you the tea you usually drink. Is there anything to report?”

Standing up from the command chair and taking the tea Sideman responded, “Sir, we have a new navigator, Lt. Lovejoy, and we appear to be on the course you ordered. All seems pretty normal sir.”

With that Sideman took his spot next to the Captain.

“Unless there is anything else sir, I will take my leave of the bridge” he continued.

Sideman

“No. Nothing Commander. Thank you again for helping out last night. I have the Conn and you are relieved. Goodnight Commander. “

As the Lt. looked at who came on the bridge she then said to the captain. “Lt. Lovejoy reporting for duty sir. It is a pleasure to be working with you sir. I know that I’ll do my best keeping this ship on course and where she needs to go sir.” As the Lt stated to the captain.

Lt. Lovejoy

Chris smiled at her. “Welcome aboard! And thank you for keeping her on the right path. She’s all I got you know. ” He smiled. The Captain has one eye and the other covered by a eyepatch. The side of his face that has the eyepatch is also scared up. His good side and his once handsome former self can be gleaned from his other side. It would appear that he has a cybernetic hand but in reality, it is his whole right arm and his leg is cybernetic as well. Clearly, something bad has happened to him before.

“Well I also want to warn you that we have an exchange officer on board and he is Lupine in nature and hails from the planet Galdor and they are called Galdori or Galdorians. His name is Mwezi and he is in charge of security. I say these things to you for a couple of reasons. 1. I don’t know how many other species you have come across, but I garuntee that you have not seen this one before. 2. He takes his job serious and fiercely protects me. So he often stands right behind me. 3. If you end up being afraid of him then I have some real bad news. See we are heading to Galdor right now. 4. Never. And I mean never. Call him Warren. Ok?”

After she responded. “Have you had your physical done yet? Because if you think Mwezi is scary and intimidating, then wait till you meet our resident doctor.” He laughed at that and sat down in the center chair and took a sip of his coffee and began reading the morning reports from his PaDD.

“I never gotten the chance of going to the med bay yet sir. Honestly I don’t know what deck it’s on. So I’d like to have an escort me there. And yes we are on course to galdor. All sensors are all clear and nothing is in the way sir.” She then responded.

Lt. Lovejoy

“Very well. Thank you very much. Since we are on course and we have an actual Helmsman coming on in an hour, once they get here, then go do your physical and then come back to finish your shift, if you’re cleared. We both owe it to all the fine beings on this ship to make sure your physically able to perform your duties. That’s why we as Starfleet ask our beings to get all of the appointments out of the way before you report to duty. But this isn’t your fault. We were on a tight schedule to get underway fast given the circumstances of our mission, you didn’t have time.” He smiled at her like a father and then took another sip of his coffee.

“Yes sir I’ll be waiting for him to get here sir.” As the Lt told the captain. Knowingly knowing that the circumstances were tight as soon as she arrived she reported to the bridge and started her shift. But now as soon as the actual helmsman comes she’ll do her physical.
