The answer Kane received was that no answer existed. Whatever had set off the damage seemed to be gone. Vulk started to babble in Vulcan. He looked scared, though he couldn’t communicate it.

Kane cursed. “Five hundred years of medical tech and this damn thing can’t even say if the poor bastard was hit or if something got in there.” and he kicked the biobed in frustration. He lookednup at the scanner to see if the neurostimulator was having any effect.

Alerts went everywhere and life support was shut down.

Kane swore loudly and then said “Emergency lighting! Get the biobeds on backup power and get ready for wounded!” He then punched the comms panel on the wall slightly harder than necessary and said =/\= Bridge! What the hell is going on up there?! =/\=

There was no reply from the Bridge but all power was restored thanks to the CE..... for now.

While the others decided what to do about the Captain, who was obviously the core of the issue, something dawned on Bridie.

Moving to change channels on the console, she called down to medical. =^=Kane… Doct.. Kane!=^= She recalled he hated the medical title and quickly curbed it. =^=Kane, it’s Bridie. Is life support back on for you guys down there? It should be but with half the ship locked down, I didn’t want to assume.=^= Her voice was attempting to be professional, but he’d know her enough to know there was genuine concern for him, personally, in the query. Gods knew she bothered him enough.
