A beeping sound wakes Nikki from his reverie .. feet up on the console and escaping the ravages of the dames in charge of the other sections. Feeling for his cigar he adjusted the fedora so he could see the console. Nothing blowing up. That was good. No complaints from the dames. That was good. What? Another operations person? He blinked. What kind of name was that? He tried to pronounce it. Well, that was why Iotians invented nicknames ..
