It was long after she’d been dismissed that Dierdre found her way to the Outpost’s infirmary. Although she didn’t fancy physicals, she wasn’t completely opposed to them as most Starfleet officers were notorious for. Yes, they took up a slot of time that could have been used for more productive excursions, but on the slim chance an officer boarded incapacitated, at least the ailment would be caught before it could impede their duties or crewmates.

Stepping past the infirmary’s doors, she took a moment to revel in its structure. Of course she had studied the layout of the Outpost and understood, basically, where the important things were. Still, reading a print was incomparable to seeing it herself.

“Excuse me,” Dierdre approached a passing NE, “could you point me in the direction of a doctor or nurse?” She didn’t mind which, as long as they could complete a physical and sign her off as fit for duty.
