“Or we can stay here,” Jessica took Aedan’s hand and sat down on the counselor’s couch again. It had just dawned on her that since she had moved in with Aedan they had never had anyone over besides the people from OMAP and even they were few and far between besides Jessica Adams. They had parties. They had receptions. Heck, they had had a few formal dinners but not one in Aedan’s sanctum santorum. All the events were held outside. It would be something she would bring to him later. “You are going to get so lucky later for showing up like this,” Jessica said said in a low whisper sinking into the couch beside him. Normally she would not sit so close to someone in public but this was almost like a marriage counseling session in her eyes. So why not act like she felt and show that she was in love with the man beside her.

“You know Chandel this is a rare opportunity. No one gets an impromptu one on one with Aedan so fire away with the questions,” Jessica offered.

“Why don’t we sit down again and make ourselves comfortable then?” Chandel asked as she led the way down the steps back to the seating area and taking a chair, leaving the couch to the Commander and Aedan.

“Excellent. I will get more coffee,” Jessica moved to the replicator. Ordering Aedan a cup she then also ordered herself a second one making sure the command decaf was said clearly and loudly. In an attempt to be social even if it was at the counselor’s expense, Jessica ordered Aedan a muffin to go with his coffee. It was one of those huge ones resembling a mushroom on steriods with a small base and huge top that spilled over. Everyone knew the top of a muffin was the best anyway and this type had all the good stuff on 90% of it.

It would also give Jessica a chance to make Aedan chew something instead of talking if she needed to take control of him. Walking to the couch she held out the carefully balanced cup of cofffee and muffin for him in one hand and hers in the other. “I got you blueberry,” she said with a wink.

“You do know how to spoil someone, but I should have gotten you something. I know… I can’t go overreacting this early in a pregnancy but… I don’t know. I like making sure you want for nothing.” Aedan said as he took the cup and coffee, pleased she remembered his favorite as he eyed the muffin.

Chandel smiled as she watched them. It was obvious to see their relationship was moving onto a new level and expecting a child would mature them both as they thought more of each other and the child.
