Commander King sat in Ops monitoring communications between the different parties and send messages that needed his own touch. When he recalled a intel tip he had gotten, He opened into the channel between the Captain and Lancer.

=/\=No Sir so I say we replicate some grog and see what we can do about getting those pirates to come on over for a spell,=/\= Jessica said trying to keep the tone light. The worst thing one could do was let the crew see you were getting a bit hot under the collar. =/\=Sir it might not be the best idea but, we could use the shuttles to take some of the colonists directly to the Outpost. Prioritize. Children first followed by the the standard woman then men. This is not the most efficient but we might just get lucky and have enough room on the ship if we need an emergency beam out=/\=.

=^= Let’s evacuate using the ships if we can. If it comes to it we can use shuttles as you suggest, but we’re better off transporting the colonists on faster and better defensed vessels if we have enough. Go ahead and prioritize as you suggest with the evacuation. And Commander, be sure to lower the jolly roger on the Lancer before our pirate hunting Klingon friend arrives. I’d hate for him to get the wrong idea. =^=

Commander King muted the conversation between the Captain and the Exec, letting the computer transcribe it so he could still read it. He did a quick search to make certain the correct comm channels to use.

=^=This is Federation Outpost 42 Hailing the IKS Khazadh’ea, Commander Wade King for Captain Khain=^= Wade said sending the Hail directly to the Klingon Vessel. He knew that it might take a bit to reach the ship, and even a moment or two longer for a response to come back. That all depending on what Captain Khain was up to at the moment. Even if he was not actively engaging Pirates, Wade was not one to assume that the Klingon was going to hop to an respond immediately.

The response from the recently arrived Klingon vessel took a few minutes to come in, when the hail was picked up, Wade would find visual was available. The image would show the Klingon Captain sitting in his chair, Bridge darkened and in the background a number of consoles with real time Heads up Displays manned by similarly dressed officers, black layered leather armor, chain mail covered pauldrons and all metals in non reflective slivered tones. Khain was the only one wearing the crimson coloured cloak.
