Counselor - Check In
Posted by Lieutenant Junior Grade Nikki Brako (Chief of Operations) in Counselor - Check In
Sakai. Not an easy name for Nikki to pronounce, trying to mull that over with both an Irish and slight Pirate accent. He tried and did not do well to his satisfaction. This was not going to go well if he had to say anything past ‘Counselor’ which came off as a gravely lilt. That was better. He could handle that. The trouble was, Counselors felt that they had publishing material on him, that he was worthy of papers and studies and oh how they tended to want to ‘fix’ him. He wasn’t sure what this Counselor would do but he knew what they tended to want to do. Maybe he could bed this Sakai dame and put an end to that, but not be serious - any dame that wanted to get serious including this three ex-wives wanted to change him too. Everyone wanted to fix him.Pressing the buzzer he tugged on his uniform. At least he had that. Replicated duds. Uncouth and poor taste, but, in this case functional for now. He preferred his uniforms tailored how they should be - by a person. He had passed a tailor shop in the promenade. Mentally he took note of that to visit them and hoped they could do justice and not just replicate them in the back room. He wanted real duds even if they were starfleet uniforms. Better than in Kirk’s era. That boss knew how to work people, but dressed in pajamas. He missed the cigar, though it was replaced with an almost nondescript toothpick.

Akane took a look at her diary and didn’t see an appointment but then her head was still in moving mode and she had the memory span of a goldfish so it wasn’t unusual for her to be surprised by an appointment. “Come in!” she called out as she opened the top drawer of her desk and hastily swept the clutter off her desk into the drawer, wincing a little as it clattered loudly. As was her custom, she stood to greet her guest. As the door slid open, Akane almost didn’t recognise Nikki from their earlier encounter and she had to hold back a smirk. She didn’t think she’d ever seen someone look so uncomfortable in their uniform.
“Ah, we meet again Lt,” she smiled as she gestured to the empty seat. “Please, do sit down, can I get you a drink?” she asked.
