Having concluded his Evaluations with the medical, and counseling staff, also having met with the Executive Officer, he only had two people left to meet with. Though he could have done them in any order, he chose the Captain as the next stop. Wade would not admit that trepidation put him off his other visit. Well not to anyone else he would not, he had kind of let the Executive Officer in on his feelings about the other person he needed to visit. Wade wanted everything to be in order and official when he met with Gunny finally. They had to work together, and a man with the reputation enjoyed by one Master Gunnery Sargent Hunter James Ransom, called simply Gunny by most, deserved everything to be in order when it came time to let him know. Wade was not certain that the man was in the dark on this, it would have been hard pressed to pass anything by the man, and Wade never assumed otherwise. That was how he found himself at the office of one Captain Mathias McGarrett, the commanding officer of the Starfleet outpost Number 42, known to most that had been stationed here as simply the OP. McGarretts’ file said that he multiple family members, both in Starfleet and out, that had been assigned here, or moved here. There was a note for all single men to avoid a Mrs. Evie McGarrett, as she liked to play match maker. Wade reached out and pressed the chime. He expected to find the Captain’s yeoman if he was in attendance in the outer office, with the Captain sequestered just beyond in his Sanctum Sanctorum as it were. Wade was prepared to wait as he was not on the Captain’s schedule for the day, truth be told he was not set to arrive for another week, but had forgone his leave in transit time as he had been out of the game for long enough in his own opinion, and was ready to get back in the saddle.
