He didn’t leave the ship until nine years later, when he became first officer of the USS Destiny. Another five years after that he was promoted to his current rank of Commander and his current assignment at Starbase 157. The performance evaluations and log entries Gunny would find praised V’Lapor’s work ethic. Psychological and medical records didn’t reveal anything surprising for a Vulcan his age. However his father, Talibar, had been a procounsel on Romulus with a history of being a leader in the opposition to any efforts towards reunification with Vulcans.
