Early morning was always a bustle on the Outpost, until about an hour past shift change when Alpha Shift began it’s day. It was at that moment when operations was just settling back and easing into their routines after catching up on the nights reports and maintenance logs, docking schedules and long range reports that a Klingon Warbird appeared suddenly a very short distance away from one of the Outposts docking stations. Accordingly, alarms sounded at the unexpected sensor reading. One of the Operations crew looked at the readout and swore, then shook his head. “It’s the Khazad’hea,” he said, looking up. “They are sending a message, voice only,” and he opened the comm channel. Almost immediately, the unmistakable Klingon voice that many of the Outpost 42 had heard over the past year as the Klingon ship hunted pirates and used the Outpost as a base, came through. Deep and gruff with a strong note of Command, Captain Khain’s voice announced their arrival.
=/\= Outpost 42, now that I have your attention I request permission to dock in our usual spot at your magnificent station. I have one of your crew onboard, and by the way, you have a large scratch mark on your docking ring about fifty meters from the airlock. Have you been letting someone else use my ring? =/\= Khains voice sounded gruff, but there was also an underlying note of humor in it.

=^= this is the Captain of this Outpost. If you weren’t so bad at docking your ship Captain, those scratches would not have been there. Permission granted Captain. Welcome back to the Outpost.=^=
Capt. Martin, CO
=/\= I’ll have you know that when we left a few months back, that piece of docking ring was spotless =/\= The voice of the Klingon Captain came back, then =/\= The Khazad’hea will dock shortly, prepare to be boarded =/\= seemingly off to the side while the comm was open another voice was heard that sounded like it was correcting the Klingon Captain, then just as quietly, as if someone had a hand over the microphone =/\= I was only kidding, they know that. Lighten up Brother =/\= right before the comm was cut.

The airlock hatch to the docking port that held the Klingon warship slid apart to reveal two large, muscular Klingons walking down the corridor onto Outpost 42. Both of them were above average height and muscular like your regular Klingon, but both of these Warriors were bald and sported an eye patch. Each with the symbol of a lethal Kut’luch dagger, same as was present on the warship parked outside, emblazoned on their eyepatches.
One, clearly the Klingon Captain was bald and sported a very neat moustache and goatee. That matched his uniform which was jet black studded and hardened leather, overlapped with plates at the shoulders like it was some kind of ancient armor. It was clean, smart and professional, much like the Klingon wearing it and the ship outside. The Kut’luch dagger on his waist sported a number of jeweled decorations on the hilt.
The other Klingon was rather different, in that his bald head sported no moustache, but his beard was separated into braids that had a number of gold, silver or brass beads on them to hold them into shape. Instead of armor, this Klingon wore the Medical green of Starfleet along with a House Sash of House Kholl, and a kut’luch dagger at his side as well, though less decorated.
“Watch out for that woman,” the Klingon Captain was saying and by the way he was talking, he was familiar with Outpost 42. “Evelyn, they call her. She owns the Been There Brewed That Brewery on the Prominade. Best Raktajino on the station but avoid standing by that pitcher plant she has. If you touch it, it will bite you. It is Glorious.” Khain laughed. “She wouldn’t sell it to me though, something about it being a good girl and I wouldn’t look after her right. Odd bird, that one.”
“As long as she has coffee and beer we will get along fine,” the Klingon wearing the medical greens grinned back. “Although a plant that can bite you sounds fun, I will have to go see it.”
