Hey everybody. I just wanted to give a couple of reminders on the posting format that help make your posts easily for others to follow.

-Please cross-post communication threads. If a character in another thread needs to hear what your character said, then you need to post in that thread as well.

-Please update the location when the action moves. The main sim thread that says it is occurring in the shuttle bay is in the security office, which threw me off. Please correct the location even if you weren’t the first one to post in the new location.

You rock Adam and there is no place I would rather call my home that isn’t a ship except OP 42. I back Adam up, and I at time am a horrible breaker of this rule, try to use this formula even in side sims. It gives the readers an idea of where the side sim is and may spark someone to participate in open threads because the location is something fun and interesting.

Also quick verification for those new (or forgot) how do we tag in a thread heading? And should it be removed once that person joins the thread? Some ships want tags in titles, some don’t. ((since we are discussing formats… seemed a good place for reminder))

I’d much rather not have any thread topics that have tags. I find them to be much less effective than directly contacting someone. And people seem to rarely delete them once they are no longer using them. And I think it looks annoying to look at all the posts on a ship and see tags that aren’t really used all over.

I wouldn’t mind as much if people used them and then promptly deleted them when they no longer apply. But I haven’t really seen people do this.
