As his quarters came into view, Achilleas found himself both very nervous but also excited. He was trying his best to not think about what may or may not happen. Things needed to progress naturally and not be forced. He was most afraid of further messing up their night any more than it had been. After the most embarrassing of starts things had gotten a ton better, but the mistake of going to a bar for their first date was still on his mind. He was determined to be a gentleman and would do his best to resist his desires, though not completely. They arrived at his door and he led them both inside. Now that they were here he wasn’t sure what he should do. Offer her more to drink? They were both a bit tipsy still so that might not be the best idea. Offer her water? Likely a good choice. Though he wanted to slap himself in the forehead. First should start with offering her a seat.
“Would you like to sit on the couch? I can get you water or…” His voice faded towards the end as his nervousness increased.

“A glass of water would be nice,” Ria replied as she moved slightly so that she was standing right in front of him. Placing her hands on his cheeks, she rose to her tip toes and then kissed him tenderly. The kiss only lasted a few seconds though before she took a small step back and then headed towards the couch. She let her gaze wander around his quarters, trying to take in every detail without appearing to be nosy. But seeing a person’s personal space told a lot about them and she wanted to continue to learn more about Achilleas.
It was only as she sat down that a thought crossed her mind and made her blush a little more while a soft giggle escaped her lips. As always with this skirt and blouse, she’d gone full on historic accuracy. Which meant that in addition to those two items of clothing she was wearing four more layers of clothes. Depending on what might or might not happen and on their mood, or patience that could be either fun or annoying. Pushing those thoughts somewhat to the back of her mind, she chewed slightly on her lower lip as she watched Achilleas get them something to drink.

Achilleas went to the replicator and got a couple glasses of water. He brought them back to the table and set them down before sitting right next to Ria. His hands trembled lightly as he leaned back on the couch and looked towards her. “I’m sorry that the night didn’t go anything like I was planning. I wanted this evening to be quiet, a bit romantic, and a chance for us to talk without booming music or XO’s joining. I enjoyed how the night went after resigning myself to our situation, but this wasn’t how I wanted our date to go.” He held a hand out to her to grasp. “At least I had you though. Well and the food was great.”

Ria reached for Achilleas’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “You don’t have to apologise, Achilleas,” she said softly, looking him straight in the eyes. “It wasn’t your fault. And yes, it was a little awkward, but it wasn’t a bad date at all.” While shifting her position slightly so that the sides of their bodies were touching, she added in a soft whisper, “It may not have been perfect, but it was our official first date and we’ll surely never forget it.” Tilting her head, she rested it on his shoulder; content to just be in that moment and feel him so close to her.

Achilleas wrapped his arm around Ria and held her close and just enjoyed feeling her heat permeating his body. “Thank you Ria. I really appreciate your understanding. I certainly won’t forget it and I think as my light shame fades away, that I’ll look back on it as being a wonderful moment with you. I’ll stop being sorry for myself now since you thought the date was good.” He chuckled and picked up his glass to take a sip of water. He set it back down after wetting his throat. His nervousness was making him parched. “I have to say that the environment was lively. I could see enjoying it if we decide to go back and my not having any expectations like this time.”
