The NE had finally caught his breath as he stretched up right. “Well ma’am, you know as much as I do. There is a Walrus near one of the airlocks, the gym is in shambles, the queen is holding court and seems intent on starting to collect some heads.” He looked to the CE then and nodded, “She is normally quite level headed but yeah, that dress makes her look like something else doesn’t it?”

“It’s not just the dress, although it’s quite lovely,” Bob observed.

“Lovely, but not the norm, no,” Myqian quipped.

He glanced back to the XO, “I don’t know what the rhyme or reason is. I’d suggest we talk to science but, you know. Tea party.”

At that moment, over the general address system the cheery computer voice announced =/\= Attention Code Orange. Repeat, Code Orange. All emergency personnel are required to respond to their duty stations for briefing.=/\=

The NE sighed and turned to the XO, “Well someone just announced a hazardous materials escape so maybe that is it?”

“Oh for…” Dira muttered under her breath as she looked at Bob with an exasperated expression.

Cai stood back and watched a little bemused looking. When he alert sounded he looked up and swore. “Well that’s not good.”

“At least we know we’re not the only sane people,” Bob offered as a positive note.

The reports kept piling up for the XO: =/\=NE Obvious to Security and XO… We have an incident in the science lab. Seems the reported spill is in here. They must have spilled the good stuff cause, well, I think the chief is going to regret this in the morning.=/\=

“Okay, while I would love to just walk into the science labs, I think for the moment that maybe the Infirmary is the better place. They at least have biofilters and containment in there.” Dira looked at Bob again. “Do you know if the crew’s commbadges are tied together separately from the Starbase’s crew?” She figured if she could at least put out a call to everyone that maybe the unaffected would be more likely to respond.

Commander Myqian, XO

“They certainly can be,” Bob answered. “I mean, you should be able to send a message only to our crew. I’ve been doing it a lot recently to avoid problems with the yard… people. If you’re specific with your addressing the commbadges will avoid routing through the base systems.”

Dira nodded.

Cai listened looking confused. ”You think something turned her into a fruit loop?” he asked and looked around the station, high above him and then at the walls. ”Itd need to be something organ is to the station itself…if it was brought in then the bio hazard containment protocols would kick in before it got so widespread surely…” he said more to himself than anyone else around him.

“Yeah, it must be something already here. I don’t know why none of us are affected, but we shouldn’t assume we’re immune to it,” Bob observed.

“Which means we need to find a safe place to congregate that we can secure,” Dira said, at least finally able to come to some sort of decision.

The XO tapped her commbadge and hoped for the best. =/\=Commander Myqian to all USS Ogawa crewmembers. Report your status to me ASAP.=/\= She left it open that way intentionally. Anyone who was in their right mind at the moment should be able to respond properly. If someone affected replied, it would be obvious and they could react or ignore them as needed based on the situation. Once she had a few people she could rally together, they could find somewhere safe to congregate. She wanted to go to the Infirmary, but there was no guarantee yet that someone there was alright.

Not having had her comm badge activated yet, Jenyfer tapped the console. =^=This is Lieutenant JG Jenyfer Lynset, Sir. Pleasure to meet you. I’m the new Virologist. I believe we had an appointment for this evening,=^= she laughed softly, hoping to ease the tension a bit. =^= I’m in main medical with Dr Grayson who found the Chief of Staff and a couple others inflicted. I’m not sure who all I have down here, to be honest. But we’ve been told by the AMO that its a hallucinogen that is affecting folks. We are thinking touch contact spread and not airborne, since more of us aren’t afflicted.=^= She knew it was more than a sounding off, but he had to know what was going on and that was her reason for the short ramble.
