It was a meandering pace, one meant for observing and for pondering. Dressed in off duty clothes (a flowing silver skirt and a bright coral sleeveless top with ruffles along the arm holes. Her mass of tight curls was loose and she wore a relaxed expression as she took in the flashes of activity followed by calm. It was quieter at the moment as it was between shifts, but there was a natural ebb and flow of people she had observed so far.Content to wander with her thoughts, Dira let herself unwind a bit. Goodness knows she was working hard to get to know the crew and manage the influx of requests and needs of the displaced crew. They still didn’t have a word on how long it would last, which in her experience usually meant it wasn’t ending anytime soon. Morale would be important to keep up and she was already thinking of ways to help that along.

Dira was enjoying her stroll until she came upon one particular merchant who keep trying to speak but the language always came out as a stammer, almost as if the merchant himself was suffering from a form of Aphasia. His words just weren’t making sense to anyone.

Tilting her head, the telepath reached out gently to suss out whether the merchant was thinking clearly and if it was just a processing issue, or if he was really confused somehow. “Are you alright?” Myqian asked.

Dad,” he said making the ultimate Dad joke. “Who are you?” He frowned a moment looking the XO over then nodded his head again and just continued with what he was just saying, “’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves, Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.”
