At his loud “no” Ria looked at him rather startled, almost like a deer in headlight. Yet by the time Achilleas had finished talking, her face had returned her normal, less frightened expression. “Oh, okay. Thank you, Sir,” she replied meekly. “Not really … or rather … I’m not sure if you can answer the few questions I have as they concern the Ogawa,” she added after a pause. Insecurity still written plainly all over her.

“Oh please, ask me whatever you want. If I don’t know it I can definitely help you find out.” Achilleas responded enthusiastically.

Taking a deep breath, Riani asked, “I’m just wondering how long it will be till the Ogawa is repaired?” She also thought of asking what had happened to the ship in the first place, but decided that - at least for the time being - she really didn’t want to know.

Achilleas shook his head with a sad smile, “I don’t know honestly, though the Captain says we’ve been assured priority on repairs as quickly as possible.”

“Okay,” Riani said simply and nodded. She hadn’t really expected anything else, yet some certainty would have been nice of course. She just hoped that there would be work for her to do nevertheless. Something to keep her feeling of homesickness at bay.
