Dira reached out and took Taylor’s hand, but rather than shake, she gave it a gentle squeeze while gazing intently at the CO for a moment before releasing. “Dira Myqian,” she said. “And yes, I’ve been assigned as your new Executive Officer. And lucky for you I bring your new Chief Engineer with me. Captain Siterra teased me about poaching, but it’s probably the most friendly case of it you’re going to see. Lieutenant Mason knows his stuff.”

“Good to hear, I wasn’t happy loosing our current chief. He’s a talent that certainly leaves big shoes to fill.” Willow commented.

Her drink arrived, slid to her with a smile. “Thank you,” she said, matching the smile. She took a sip and shivered slightly in delight. It never ailed to hit the right note. “My thought is that we should take this conversation elsewhere, where we can be more open. When you’re ready of course.” She gestured with her head over her shoulder. “But they don’t need you to be on now.” She tapped her head. “Full disclosure; I’m telepathic.”

Glancing behind her Willow considered the room. She picked up her wine glass. “Good to know.” She said with a slight smile and sipped from her glass again. She glanced around the holodeck and the crew celebrating, hanging out and talking. “Of course. I have an office set up if you would like to go there?” She asked and slid down from the stool taking her wine with her.

Myqian nodded. “Sounds like a plan to me,” she said, grabbing her own drink. Clearly she wasn’t going to say anything about them walking through the starbase with alcohol in their hands, but she also knew that they didn’t have too far to go.

“I just found out I’ll be getting my own temp office. Should be close to yours as well. At least that part will be less complicated,” she said with a light laugh. “Not exactly how I saw my new job beginning but then again, I’m used to things being rather different than expected.”
