Achilleas smiled in response, “Good to meet you Anastasia. Sorry for hijacking your holodeck session like this. You’re the third person I’ve met besides the Captain and another science officer. I’m glad everyone seems to be so nice. Wasn’t sure what to expect. Have you been aboard very long?”

Ana’s gaze quickly shifted to looking longingly at the telescope, much preferring the quiet company of the stars over the forced, polite conversation that the excited officer was engaging in. The sigh she let out was soundless as she reluctantly responded, “it’s all right, I forgot to engage the lock.” She paused for a moment, looking down at her still slipper-encased feet, pressing her big toes skyward until she could see the indentation in the soft fabric and then allowing them to relax down. “I’ve been aboard for a while now,” she added, simply, knowing that she should likely have some kind of “get to know you” question to ask but not desiring to continue the conversation. Besides, it was likely she or her subordinate would be asking plenty of questions during the routine psychological evaluations.

Achilleas nodded while noticing the surreptitious look at his telescope. His grin broadened, “Would you like to look at the stars some more?”
