M’Nalie was unhappy that she had failed to pass her Psychological fitness requirement. It didn’t stop her from working though it made working harder as she had to get others to sign out equipment for her. It locked her out of material fabrication which was her primary skill as a engineer. It made pretty much everything she did on the ship harder. It was keeping her in a pretty much frustrated condition. M’Nalie knew her species and herself so she knew that if this constant frustration hdidn’t change something was going to snap. Most likely the neck of the person responcible for this state of affairs. So she sent a text to the psychology dept requesting a appointment for reevaluation and proceeded to meditatate and do relaxation excercises till she would get a repl0y.

A few moments after the message was sent, the chime to M’Nalie’s quarters rang.

M’Nalie wasn’t expecting anyone. She hadn’t any real social life . But she set the replicator into function before she manually triggered the door release. The door open she said. “Be welcome.”, in a purry bass rumble. She didn’t have a room mate so both sides of the room were decorated in a mix of African and Caitan tribal sculputures, weapons and tapestries. In a corner sat a alter to her ancestors with incense and flowers as offerings. While M’Nalie had no real concept of persolal modesty taking great pride in her physique she donned a robe as a after though since no other culture on the ship was likely to follow her people custom. She collected the dishes from the replicator and placed then on the table, saying the tradtional blessings and thanking the animal for it’s sacrifice. She knew it was replicated and no animal had made any sacrifice but as the meats arrayed on the plate simulated A Raiwtti. It was her habit to appease the ancestorial beasts that once were hunted. “I do not get many visitors. “, she rumbled motioning to a human sized seat made with more comfort than standard Starfleet designs allowed.

Ana glanced around M’Nalie’s quarters as the doors opened, but much of her focus was on getting this task completed and getting herself safely out of there. “Hello, Ensign. Since you are confined to quarters, I felt it best that I come to you,” she explained. “I prefer to stand,” she added as an afterthought, noting M’Nalie’s gesture to indicate a seat. “I imagine you are eager to return to duty.” She paused there and studied M’Nalie to see what her reaction would be to that statement.

M’Nalie blinked at the psychiatrist. “You have a funny way of accepting hospitality. But if I was confined to quarters nobody told me so. I have been volunteering my time in engineering since with the ship damaged and stuck in strange space it’s hardly a good time to not have everyone working.”, she rumbled matter of factly, “I suppose now that I am aware that I am not supposed to leave my quarters I will have to remain in them. I will discuss it with my dept head, who has been far to busy to notice.”, And M’Nalie kneeled to the table and folded her handpaws in her lap. “I do not understand you. Nor do you understand me. But it is better to resolve this problem. So I wanted to meet with you so you could appologise.”, M’Nalie stated calmly.

Ana stared blankly at the engineer. “Apologize?” she repeated back. Her arms crossed protectively across her torso as she stared, unblinkingly. “Starfleet has entrusted me with the task of ensuring that you are fit to serve on a vessel. Outbursts are not compatible with that fitness.” Her black eyes darkened as she studied M’Nalie. “Since you believe that a lack of understanding is at the root of this issue, I would be happy to refer your case to Commander Reez. Would you like me to schedule you an appointment with him?”

M’Nalie sighed. “Starfleet requires many things. Explain to me what you see as a outburst. From my point of view you asked questions designed to entrap me into admitting my past failings. This upset me because my people do not use such dishonest methods. When it dawned on me that this was the case I tried to leave. At which point it being obvious that I was upset you ordered me to stay. Then because I decided to no longer answer your dishonest, unethical questions you called security. If I talk to your superior that is what I will tell him. I have given you as per the customs of my people a chance to appologise. You have chosen to instead insult my hospitality and treat me badly once more. I have no choice but to register a complaint against you with my Clan. Iwill do you the curtosy of sending Starfleet Command, The Captain and yourself a copy of my complaint. Such dealings will require a representative of my Clan to be present for any proceedings. So this will require both of us to leave this ship. “, M’Nalie stood to her full height, “Get out. Your presence offends me nostrils.”, She said in a deeper and obvious tone of disgust.
