After a few moments she opened her eyes and looked calculatingly at him, green orbs slightly glazed with exhaustion and heat. She frowned slightly then with a shake of her head and acting as though this was the Major inconvenience of her life thus far she pulled the bottom of her vest top up just enough to give him access to her lungs. “Happy?” She demanded.

COA thin smile tugged at the corners of Dr Jarvis’ lips. “Good girl,” he muttered to himself as he walked over to stand behind the woman. Without warning, he pressed the cold, closed bell of the stethoscope against the naked skin of her back.

Willow half caught his comment, surely he hadn’t said what she thought he had…she turned her head to admonish him when the icy disc of the archaic device pressed into her skin. She gave a short involuntary jump and a hiss. “Where were you keeping that!?” She demanded. “The freezer?” The disc warmed quickly and she relaxed again. Waiting for him to continue.
“It’s possible to like your work too much you know.” She said quietly.

CODr Jarivs heard the Captain talk, but her words were drowned out by the rattling sound that came from her lungs. Nevertheless, her incessant nattering made it difficult to properly listen to her lungs. He pulled the plugs out of his ears with his free hand. “For someone who seemed to want to get this over and down with as quickly as possible, you’re doing a very good job at dragging it out as long as possible,” he said with a slight sneer that she would not see unless she could twist her head around one-hundred-and-eighty degrees. “Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to listen to your lungs without also hearing the sound of your voice.”

Willow sighed, which turned into a slight cough. “Well if you’d have used the tricorder…” She said but again did as he bid and stopped talking for him to listen. She considered the crotchety older man as the bell of the stethoscope moved across the quadrants of her lungs and pondered what she knew of him. Nothing really, he had been a cardiologist. A surgeon, then he had gone insane and now she was stuck with him.
She gave him to the count of thirty and then said. “You don’t like me much do you Jarvis?”
