The man offered his hand to Jessica. “Doctor Markus Hendricks. I’m one of the General surgical Attendings. And who do I have the pleasure of meeting?” he asked, a warm grin appearing on his face.

“I… think you have the wrong ship,” Jessica responded, cheerfully, her face a picture of amusement and innocence. “I’ll be right back.” Making her way across sickbay to where she was out of earshot of their visitor, she tapped her comm badge:

James nodded in agreement. “I think you definitely have as well.”

“Is everyone having a psychotic break or something? You know, we have specialist for that,” Hendriks said.

“No, no I don’t think so. The likelihood of both myself and Lemann having the same psychosis is incredibly slim. You should know that being a Doctor.” James retorted.

“And we have specialists for that too,” Jessica added with a charming and innocent smile.

Lemann

=/\=Congratulations, Doctor, you just met one of our Captain’s imaginary friends,=/\= Brad replied. =/\=Assuming he’s not the same one I just told Dr. Jarvis to deal with, kindly tell him he’ll find who or whatever it is he’s looking for in the Primary Sickbay.=/\=

=/\= Yay, me! =/\= Jessica’s initial response came through with remarkably unsarcastic delight. =/\= Should I have him escorted there? Can I nominate Doctor McNair for that task if so? =/\=

She directed an impish grin at the fellow doctor beside her as she spoke the words.

Lemann

James mouthed thanks at Lemann and gave her a sarcastic thumbs up. This was not a task he was looking forward to and he knew that Lemann knew that. He was already coming up with ways to get her back when he turned to stranger.
“Right, shall I show you to Primary Sickbay?” He asked whilst hoping he would declined the offer.

McNair (Trauma/Emergency Med)

“Why is my intern even there? I swear if she’s been assigned to someone else without letting me know, head are going to roll.” Hendricks was clearly rather disgruntled.

Jessica’s grin took a charming turn at McNair’s sarcastic thumbs up as she waited to see both what Walker would respond with and whether their new friend would be amenable to a change in scenery.

Lemann

=/\=Sure, why not,=/\= Brad replied. =/\=I need somebody to check on conditions up there anyway. Have him touch base with Commander O’Keefe and report back to me.=/\=

As the communication channel closed, Jessica turned to McNair with her charming smile locked into place. “Doctor Walker says you’re up and to report back to him after you check in with Commander O’Keefe,” she relayed, even though he probably could have heard the exchange. “Let me know if you need any help.” Her grin turned briefly flirtatious before returning her attention to Sickbay.

Lemann, Med

James was not going to lie her smile was rather charming, he returned it with a nod. He’d not really had much interaction with the Doctor until now, he’d not really had much interaction with anyone. Since his posting he’d kept mostly to himself wanting to keep his head down and just ‘get on with things’. James took a moment to look around Sickbay, aside from a couple of minor injuries there didn’t seem anything to major.
“You’r more than welcome to join me.” He called not really wanting to be left alone with the strange man and anyway she seemed like good company. He then turned to Hendricks.

Hendricks swore under his breath. “What am I, two years old? I think I can find my way all by myself,” he said, placing his hand on his heart. “Cross my heart.”

James frowned at the comment and sighed.
“Well, let me just take you. We all know you’re a big boy now and can look after yourself but I have to check in with Commander O’Keefe anyway. We could go separately but that’d just look plain weird so. After you?” He retorted with a slightly patronising tone to his voice and holding his arm towards the exit of secondary sickbay.

McNair (Trauma/Emergency Med)

Jessica shook her head lightly as the two exited Sickbay… what an adventure.
