=^= All hands, this is the Captain. Due to an unforeseen course correction we have found ourselves in a spacial anomaly that we are seeking to rectify. We also seem to have somehow picked up some extra passengers. If you encounter anyone you do not know please notify the bridge immediately. All Duty Personnel report to your stations, civilians report to sickbay. Section and Department heads take stock of your staff and report to the bridge.=^=

Drake looked up at the Captain’s disembodied voice. Before this mission, that would’ve meant nothing to him. “Crap.” He ran over to Lemann. “I have to go to the bridge. That leaves you ranking on deck. Well, tied with McKnight, but he’ll be in surgery most of the time. Anyway, good luck.”

He headed for the doors. This was the downside.

Jessica opened her mouth to respond but Marshall was already on his way out the door before she could spit anything out, so with a toss of her blonde hair, she turned in a slow circle, surveying the status of Sickbay as she decided what to approach next.

Less than a minute after Marshall hurried out, Brad walked back in to Sickbay, alongside two NEs hauling a sheet-covered gurney.

“Put him in Medlab 3, and lock it down on your way out,” he instructed them, surveying the room to get a gauge of who was around and in charge. He didn’t see Marshall, but the call meant he’d probably already left for the bridge. He didn’t see Dr. Scott, but she may have been in Primary. He didn’t see Jarvis either, which was concerning.

But he did see Dr. Lemann, so he headed for her.

“Sitrep, Doctor?”

Jessica’s back had been to Walker as she completed her turn and she whirled around at his voice. “Oh, hello, Doctor,” she greeted, a smile coming over her features but her voice remaining business-like. “We’ve stabilized and begun treatment on any serious cases and we’re working through the more minor injuries now. Most of the remaining patients are here for observation, although it sounded like we’ll be getting all of the civilians down here too.” She tilted her head to the side seeking confirmation of that piece of news, still not quite sure which sickbay the captain had meant.

“Most of them, almost certainly. Primary will probably get a few from the upper decks, but most of the civilians associate this one with ‘Sickbay.’ I’m just dropping off our only fatality before I answer the Captain’s call. Have we attracted any of the strangers?”

Cai popped his head out of the office where he now had two sleeping babies quietly dozing under the influence of classical music sounds. He gave Brad a look then went back to his charges.

Jessica noted the teenager out of the corner of her eye and mentally made a note to check in with him after she was finished bringing Walker up to speed. “I haven’t seen anyone I don’t recognize, but I’m a newer member of the ship,” she responded with a laugh. “I’ll keep my eyes open for any unexpected arrivals, though.”

Brad nodded. “Alright. If we do have one, isolate them and call the Bridge. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

And with that, he turned and hurried out of Sickbay himself.
